Since Allah created man, Satan has vowed to lead him astray. Thus we have the enemy who has misled millions of people and who will continue to do so at every opportunity.
Man has within himself two forces colliding all the time; the force of good and the force of evil. Man’s behaviour depends upon which force has the upper hand. In the month of Ramadhan, Allah blesses us with all the means to enable the force of good to supercede the evil forces.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2. RAMADAAN - THE MONTH OF BLESSINGS RAMADAAN - THE MONTH OF BLESSINGS The word RAMADAAN is derived from "ramdh' which means "burning of the feet from heat" This is because of the fast, which burns the sins of a Muslim into ashes.
3. RAMADAAN has been given the name of blessed month because: in this month the whole Qur'aan was sent down to the first sky from Lawhe Mahfooz. there is the night of Qadr, which is better than 1000 months. the thawaab of good deed is equal to the fardh of another month. the daily rizq (bread ) of Muslims is increased. the first ten days are of mercy, second ten days are of forgiveness and the last ten days are of being freed from Hell.
4. “ O ye who believe, fasting has been prescribed upon you as it was prescribed upon those before you, so that ye may learn self-restraint”. (Al-Quran:2:183) Best to finish reading the whole Quran in this blessed month.
5. Read the whole Qur'an at least once as the Prophet peace be upon him did.
7. Spend most of your time at masjid “ O people! The month of Allah(swt) has come with His mercies and blessings. This is the month that is the best of all months. Its days are the best of days, its nights are the best of nights, its hours are the best of hours”.(Prophet Muhammad-saw)
8. Pray that Allah gives us the strength and patience and to accept all our fasts in this holy month. Perform a lot of prayers….
9. Do a lot of tasbih… Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) said, that Allah Subhanahu-wa-Ta’ala said: “ All the deeds of man are for himself, except for fasting, which is for Me and I shall reward it MYSELF”.
10.
11. Verily, We have sent it (this Quran) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree). And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree)is? The night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months. The night of Power Therein descend the angels and the Ruh [ Jibrael (Gabrial)] by Allah’s Permission with all Decrees. (All that night), there is Peace (and Goodness from Allah to his believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn. (Surah 97)
12. What to do in the Night of Power Narrated Aisha (r.a.a.), Allah’s messenger (s.a.w.) said, “Search for the night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan”. Aysha (r.a.a.) narrated, “I asked Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w.) what should I do if I find the night of Qadr”. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) replied, “Pray to Allah: “Allhumma innaka afuwun tuhibbul-afwa fa'fu anni (O Allah you are Forgiving and love forgiveness so forgive me).”
14. Remember Ramadaan comes only once in a year So we should: 1. Ask Allah to enable you to reach Ramadaan and to get the most out of it. 2. Intend to fast every day with Iman and pure intention seeking the reward from Allah alone. The Prophet peace be upon him said, "Whoever fasts in Ramadan with Iman and seeking reward (from Allah) his past sins will be forgiven". (Bukhari) 3. Read the whole Qur'an at least once as the Prophet peace be upon him did. 4. Have Suhoor as the Prophet peace be upon him said, "Have Suhoor because it is blessed".
15. 5. Make Dua before opening the fast. The Prophet peace be upon him said, "The fasting person has a supplication that is answered when he opens his fast". 6. Give Sadaqah and be good to people. The Prophet peace be upon him was the most generous of people and he was most generous in Ramadan. 7. The Prophet peace be upon him said "Whoever does not give up false statements (i.e. telling lies), and evil deeds, and speaking bad words to others, Allah is not in need of his (fasting) leaving his food and drink." [Bukhari] 8. Do not eat too much after Iftar. 9. Ask for forgiveness since this is the month Allah frees people from the fire.
16. 10. Pray At-Tarawih with Khushoo. If you pray in the Masjid complete the Salah with the Imam. If you pray at home prolong the Salah as long as you can. The Prophet peace be upon him said, "Whoever prays during Ramadan with Iman and seeking reward (from Allah) his past sins will be forgiven". 11. Feed the poor and invite others for Iftar. The Prophet peace be upon him said, "Whoever gives Iftar to someone fasting he will have the same reward without decreasing the reward of the person fasting". 12. Try harder the last ten nights especially the odd nights. The prophet would strive in Ramadan more than he would in any other month and more so in the last ten days. 13. Say this Dua in the nights that Laitul-Qadr is likely to fall on: Allhumma innaka afuwun tuhibbul-afwa fa'fu anni (O Allah you are Forgiving and love forgiveness so forgive me). 14. Ask Allah to accept all your good actions during this month.
