Role in Wheels India Ltd
Responsible for the following aspects of the supply chain: Planning, transport, warehousing and distribution.
Also involved in identifying and implementing initiatives to reduce the overall supply chain cost base .
Duties
 Monitoring data management to keep accurate product, stock, invoicing and accounting information
through SAP.
 Working closely with suppliers and customers to improve operations and reduce cost.
 Ensuring the personal safety and safe working environment of staff.
 Negotiating contracts to reduce costs and achieve maximum efficiency.
 Providing accurate routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
 Measuring actual performance against targets on regular basis and presenting results to the senior
management.
 Creating programs in Excel using formulas, Macros and VBA coding for Just-in-time, aging details and
kitting process from warehouse to customer end.

 Improving the availability of the required materials at the Madurai warehouse at the precise time by

Achievements accomplished in Wheels India Ltd
 Implemented pallet modification of front wheels by arranging tractor front wheels inside the
corresponding tractor rear wheels and thus saved the transportation cost of Rs. 14.5 Lacks per
annum.
 Received the best supplier award for Just In Time Supplies for the years 2012 and 2013 from TAFE,
Madurai production plant.
 Implemented the transportation of materials (Tractor rear and front wheels) using 40 feet
containers instead of Taurus, at precise time for concerned materials required by TAFE, Madurai
production plant, thus achieved cost savings of Rs. 11.5 Lacks per annum.

 Worked as an Engineer in Supply chain management in Sesa Mining Corporation Ltd – Vedanta
resources, Goa from July-12-2010 to September-30-2011.
 Member of the HEMM (Heavy Earth Moving Equipment) materials team responsible for the supply of
overhaul maintenance, periodic maintenance and break down maintenance materials required for
Bicholim, Mines, Goa.
 Responsible for the materials dispatch from OEM – Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu through their
respective service providers Gmmco, Svenska and L&T.
 Creating PO (Purchase Order) and PR (Purchase Requisition) for the concerned materials, sub –
assemblies and assemblies through SAP and ORACLE – ERP.
 Measuring actual performance of the HEMM equipment’s vital components such as Engine, Differential
and Automatic Transmission systems by performing health parameters such as SOS (Scheduled Oil
Sample) analysis and coolant analysis and providing feedback to the senior management.
