14. • Many hardware and traditional watch companies wishing to enter the wearables
market do not have the software competences.
• Current OS solutions for wearables are either too heavy – Android Wear, or not
sufficiently connected, like a handful of RTOS systems for wearables.
• The lack of tailored made solution drives power consumption high.
• Poor battery life is the main reason for consumer returns of smartwatches and
other wearables at retail.
