2. OVERVIEW
• Traditional FPE practice – RAC turn-over of responsibilities from
outgoing RAC members to new/incoming elected members
• Turn-over of membership and change of leaders are done at
national meetings
• This fiscal year – FPE management sees it more relevant and
more meaningful to do the turnover and orientation of the new
RAC members at the regional level to allow more participation
and interaction from its members, BOT and staff

3. • Strategic direction of FPE in the next 10 years vis-à-vis role of RAC
members as advisers to the BOT in policy formulation, program
development and nomination of BOT members
• Deeper knowledge and understanding on FPE’s institutional agenda
(through NEA and REA), performance in grant-making, fund
facilitation and catalytic work and current innovative programs and
systems (i.e. knowledge management, MIS, etc.)
• Turn-over ceremony and meeting – an opportunity to learn current
developments in Mindanao that affect our work for BCSD and the
communities we work with – including the work of RAC members in
respective bioregions

responsibilities – for effective performance of role as advisory
to the BOT during their term of office
• Opportunity for sharing, knowing the sub-regional issues and
concerns in Mindanao and planning for appropriate actions as
RAC Mindanao
• Opportunity for fellowship and interaction among RAC, BOT
and staff members

5. OBJECTIVES
1. To undertake orientation and learning sessions on FPE’s agenda, its
institutional performance, strategic directions and on the current
Mindanao developments;
2. To do turn-over of leadership among the outgoing RAC members
and acceptance of responsibilities among the incoming/new RAC
members;
3. To orient the new RAC members on RAC guidelines, their roles and
responsibilities;
4. To share among RAC members on pressing environmental issues
and concerns in respective bioregions and to make a broad strokes
of action plan as RAC Mindanao; and
5. To provide an avenue for initial but warm interaction and fellowship
among RAC and BOT members as well as among the management
and staff
