Editor's Notes

  • #11 More about HiQ : To ensure that these resources readily accessible to students, we’ve partnered with HiQ to create a central access point on campus for all language and learning, MSIT and career development services. Student will no longer have to navigate multiple shop fronts but will be able to access core services in a single location. The new HiQ space is specifically designed to support collaborative learning strategies and drop in support models. Fran will now provide you with a more detailed overview of the space before I walk you through our HiQ service catalogue. Student Success services that will operate out of the HiQ space are as follows: Language and Learning Drop In Support & 1-1 Consultations STIMULATE Drop in support & 1-1 Consultations (award winning teaching and support system – Math, Science & IT) Career Development Drop in Support & 1-1 Consultations HDR Support The service hours were determined based on prior student data. We will be offering after hours service one day per week later in the semester when student demand increases. We will adjust these service hours based on student usage and feedback. All 1-1 consultations are available over Zoom and we are working towards adding an online option for drop-in. More about career mentoring: -Career Mentoring Program is open to all students. Careers mentors will also be linked to Individual units Buddy and connector programs helps students towards employability. Great opportunity for international students, pathway to work experience.
