In honor of today's release of the new movie "Jobs", we've put together some of our favorite quotes by the man himself. These are quotes we find inspiring, motivational, and some are just plain funny.
If you get a chance to see the movie "Jobs", leave us a comment and let us know what you think? Do these quotes capture who he was?

Change, Creativity, Curriculum and CommunityChris Betcher
The world has changed (a lot) and if we can't adapt we run the risk of becoming irrelevant and replaced. Creativity, and looking at the world in new ways will be what helps us thrive in this new world, where so many of the existing skills are being automated or shipped offshore. The curriculum that is supposed to provide opportunities for creativity often lacks the real teeth to do so and our job as contemporary educators is to make sure that creativity, innovation and thinking different are highly valued and rewarded in our classrooms, even if the system in general doesn't measure and support these things. We need to ensure that we do great things with kids in spite of the system. Finally, the impetus for maintaining our motivation and our understanding of the changing world can only come from surrounding ourselves with networks of like-minded people that can support us in our work every day.
This is a presentation that I created/presented to my company upon returning from An Event Apart Orlando 2014 in Walt Disney World. While I was there I attended the 4 day conference on User Experience and Web Design and went on a special backstage business tour of Disney.
This presentation was created about a month ago in light of his resignation. However, recently, Steve Jobs has passed away and these quotes become evermore real of his brilliance and courage to change the world. Remember his legacy and the impact he left on all of us.
Rest in peace Steve Jobs. 1955-2011

How much radical openness does innovation need? Intimacy vs. Openness Deathma...Matteo Cassese

15 November - Berlin - Summit of Newthinking. We live in the age of openness, of collaborative consumption: we are creating a new phase in human relations and development where the paradigm of sharing is brought to its fullest potential.
Yet we lack a language to speak about our souls, what’s inside us, what is intimate about us.
We have created a new social infrastructure (we called it social graph or social networks) yet we have re-created in digital form all the taboos and limits inherent to our physical, still closed society.
We need to explore a new paradigm. What happens to openness when it meets intimacy? How can we stop using our social graph as a stage for what we want the world to see and start using it to share what we truly are? How much value can we create in the world if we share not only our goods, but our souls?
This interactive and engaging talk explores the problem by contextualizing the exciting time we live in and introduces the topic of “Coming out in the digital age” through the meeting of the radical openness concept with the depths of our souls.
It’s the most current and most interesting development in human social interactions since social networking was born, a riveting new way of seeing the world and a call for a global coming out.
This call for coming out has a name and a manifesto under OUT AS YOU: a non-profit, R&D based startup project with ambitious goals. Visit the link to know more: http://out.as/you/
Trust Me, I'm a Designer: 9 Principles for Creative CredibilityJason CranfordTeague
A recent study by Demos (Demos.co.uk) called Truth, Lies and the Internet found that a third of teens polled in the UK believe any information they find on line is true without qualification. Even more staggering is that a 15% of that group admit to making their decision about the truthfulness of the content of a Web page based on appearance alone.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs

3. “That‟s been one of my mantras- focus and simplicity. Simple
can be harder than complex. You have to work hard to get
your thinking clean to make it simple. But it‟s worth it in the
end because once you get there, you can move mountains.”

“Your time is limited, so don‟t waste it living someone else‟s life.
Don‟t be trapped by dogma- which is living with the results of other
people‟s thinking. Don‟t let the noise of others‟ opinions drown out
your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to
follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what
you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

“When you first start off trying to solve a problem, the first solutions
you come up with are very complex, and most people stop there.
But if you keep going, and live with the problem and peel more
layers of the onion off, you can often times arrive at some very
elegant and simple solutions. Most people just don‟t put in the
time or energy to get there.”

“When you‟re a carpenter making a beautiful chest of
drawers, you‟re not going to use a piece of plywood on the
back, even though it faces the wall and nobody will ever see it.
You‟ll know it‟s there, so you‟re going to use a beautiful piece of
wood on the back. For you to sleep well at night, the aesthetic, the
quality, has to be carried all the way through.”

“Here‟s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the
troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes…The ones
who see things differently- they‟re not fond of rules…You can
quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the
only thing you can‟t do is ignore them because they change
things…They push the human race forward, and while some
may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the
ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the
world, are the ones who do.”
19. “Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn‟t matter to me.
Going to bed at night saying we‟ve done something
wonderful, that‟s what matters to me.”

“When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: „If
you live each day as if it was your last, someday you‟ll most
certainly be right.‟ It made an impression on me, and since
then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every
morning and asked myself: „If today were the last day of my
life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?‟ And
whenever the answer has been „No‟ for too many days in a
row, I know I need to change something.”
