The document analyzes the results of a questionnaire about horror films and trailers. It asks respondents for their favorite genres and films to understand the target audience. Questions also aimed to determine preferences for comedy vs serious horror, trailer length, and whether audiences preferred experimental or parody styles when shown trailers for Dawn of the Dead and Shaun of the Dead. The results showed action and horror were most popular genres, trailers should be around 1 minute, and responses were inconclusive about comedy vs serious horror but favored the classical style of Dawn of the Dead.
This is the second questionnaire we handed out to our target audience, in order to find out more specifically about what they'd like to see in our poster, magazine front cover, and film trailer.

an idea of our audiences favoured genre, and if we have a large market).

3. 2. Favourite Genre? (This confirms to us what is the most frequently favoured
genre choice. Letting us know if our trailer has a large audience).

films are the crowd

Horror is a close second.
If are horror film
incorporates more action
scenes, then it should be
enjoyed by a larger
audience.

(Horror films are usually divided into classical with a more serious tone or more laid back obvious
outcome cliché horror e.g. The exorcist for classical and Friday the 13th for cliché horror).

Cliché Serious
This tells that the
results are pretty
inconclusive. That both
types tend to reap
similar outcomes.
Both do will with fans.
7. 6. How long should a Trailer be? (Gives us an idea of how
long our trailer should be without boring the audience)

favour shorter
trailers to keep
themselves focused
on it without getting
bored. So with this
information we
should film our
trailer’s length to 1
minute maybe a bit
more.
