What genre would you place this film in? Horror/Thriller (87%) Comedy (13%) We expected the majority of our audience to recognise that the genre of our trailer is a Horror with hints of Psychological thriller involved. However, we didn’t expect people to think that it is a comedy/parody of a horror movie, and so we where surprised by the results we got for this question.
What codes and conventions of the genre did you recognise in the trailer? Soundtrack/sound:  Portrays the atmosphere in both the beginning and ending of the trailer The silence and scream at the end creating tension  Editing:  Use of fast cuts Mise-en-scene:  - The use of the bottle throughout the trailer The location which gives off an eerie feeling Camera work:  Dark lighting to add suspense Shaky camera movement Choice of camera shots i.e. extreme close up of one character drinking These were the results we expected to get as they were the main codes and conventions people would recognise when watching horror based film.
What do you anticipate/expect will happen in the film? People are going to die but they don’t know who is the killer (80%) Party gets out of hand when they are playing truth or dare (13%) Everyone is possessed (7%) The majority predicted the correct plot; the second answer is also linked to the first answer.
What are you curious to find out? Who is the killer? ( Most  popular question) Who survives? What are the girls screaming at? How are they going to die? What happens at the end? Who picks truth and who picks dare? Who is good and who is bad? Why are they in that building? What were they drinking? ( Least  popular question)
