I distributed 10 questionnaires to a sample of my target audience (both
genders between the ages of 15-25)

A summary of the answers given are indicted in red Italics

   2) What type of rock band would you most likely listen to? (Please
circle)
         A. 50% said Arctic Monkeys/Kings of Leon
            30% said Paramore/You Me at Six
            20% said Avenged Sevenfold/Guns N’ Roses

3) What attracts you to listen to new rock music? (Tick your choice)
         A. 20% said Reading Good Reviews
           40% said The Image of the Band
           60% said Similarities with the Band that you like.
           50% said Seeing them Live

4) How much would you be willing to pay for a music magazine? (Tick
your choice)
         A. 60% said Less than £3

5) Do you read music magazines? (Please Circle)
        A. 50% said Yes.
          50% said No.

12) What would you like on a double page spread?
       A. For both questions there was a variety of answers. In the
contents page my target audience wants Reviews, New Music, Latest
News, Interviews and a Gig Guide.
         On the double page spreads they want Quotes, Reviews,
Interviews and Lots of Images. They want mostly Bright Colours and
both Live and Photo Shoot photos.

Overall, my audience want a cheap music magazine (between £2-£3)
with one image of one band on the cover with plenty of sell lines and
bright colours. They’d like a magazine packed full of reviews,
interviews and gigs. They’d like a double page spread with plenty of
photographs on and quotes from artists.

A. For both questions there was a variety of answers. In the contents page my target audience wants Reviews, New Music, Latest News, Interviews and a Gig Guide. On the double page spreads they want Quotes, Reviews, Interviews and Lots of Images. They want mostly Bright Colours and both Live and Photo Shoot photos. Overall, my audience want a cheap music magazine (between £2-£3) with one image of one band on the cover with plenty of sell lines and bright colours. They’d like a magazine packed full of reviews, interviews and gigs. They’d like a double page spread with plenty of photographs on and quotes from artists.
