The author chose IPC because they have published a wider range of magazines which would give them more experience in publishing a new magazine. Advertisements for clothing, deodorant, electronics, music and more would be suitable. An online presence including a website, Facebook, Twitter and mobile app would advertise the magazine to a wider audience and help promote brand recognition.

3. MEDIA COMPANY COMPARISON
Through looking at the brands in which the two media companies
already publish I am far more impressed with IPC because of the variety
of magazines they publish. I like the way that they publish a wider
variety of magazines because neither company is publishing a media
magazine so I feel they would adapt to the task best. IPC is also
publishing magazine in which I am familiar with and gives would give
me more confidence in publishing Beat because of the quality of the
magazine they would publish. I was less impressed with EMAP because
they had far less brands in which they had published so Letting them
publish a new magazine may give the wrong impression of the
magazine if they make an error.
4. IPC
Through the amount of previous work I have chosen to use IPC to
publish Beat. I feel that the previous work will have given them a wider
range of experience and will be able to produce a better final product.
5. ADVERTISING
The Advertising that I feel would suit the magazine best would be
clothing, deodorant, electrical products, music albums etc. Some of the
larger adverts would cover one page because these help to fill the
magazine and will make the magazine more money. The small adverting
can be half page and quarter page because they can fill areas of the
magazine where there is no necessary content.
6. ONLINE PRESENCE
I would like Beat magazine to have an online presence because this will
advertise the magazine to a much wider range of target audience. To do
this I would start with a standard website, this will be the main online
section for the magazine. I would then create a Facebook/Twitter
account and from this advertise links to the website. From all of these I
would create a free app on apple and android which will give a short
overview of last months copy of Beat and hold links to the website.
7. REASON FOR ONLINE PRESENCE
The main reason for publishing the magazine over the internet is
because it will then be targeting a much wider range of target audiences
but will be advertising to a much greater amount of people. By using the
social networking the magazine will be able to create a greater name for
itself because people will recognize the name from Facebook when they
are shopping for a magazine.
