Through filming, we learned to properly use technology like cameras, lights, and microphones, and would feel comfortable using such equipment for future projects.

The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. - 1. How has your understanding of real media conventions developed over A-level Media course? Introduction: -Genre= there are established conventions within specific genres e.g. horror= gore, moments of anxiety… -Micro/Macro elements= Editing, Mise-En-Scene, Sound, Cinematography/Narrative -Thematic conventions such as identity or status -Understanding conventions enables the creator of the media product to create a sense of security with the audience, as they can be shown what they expect from a genre or be surprised.
- 2. Genre: Creates something to run by on your choice of film to watch or to make. It gives us as a group a basis on which to work on and what to involve. For example if we were to a make a thriller, we would make something that is very eerie. Mise-en-scene: Thriller conventions with props could involve things such as knives, guns. We used very simplistic props as the showers were our only items. The lighting would tend to be very dark and hard to see. We contrasted this by using very bright lighting to imply that you cant get away from the problem. The sound would be calm and eerie as we have used it. The camera work is deliberately shot to make it hide things. we use lots of low and high angle shots to show superiority. Sense of security: Our thriller has given the audience watching their chosen genre something they can be familiar with. We have done this by using thriller conventions such as hiding certain aspects of the story so they are left in the dark and starting the film with character introduction.
