I also learnt how to lay out these features on a music magazine. For example the masthead
goes along the top of the magazine and must be in the biggest font size; also the CVI can also be positioned in front
of the masthead to demonstrate that it is more important (the masthead must still be legible).
I used natural lighting for my CVI on the front cover and trialled many different camera angles before choosing
the best one to fit in with the layo ut I had in mind (med ium close -up) .

- 1. WHAT DID YOU LEARN During this task I learnt many skills that would help me in my furthe r tasks, I also achie ve d the things that I set out to achieve in my brief. Differ en t featur es of a generi c musi c maga zin e in general I learnt are: masthead, centre of visual interest (CVI), teaser story, secondary stories, splash/puff, competitio ns, price, barcode, website , consiste nt colour sche m e and consiste nt typogr ap hy. I also learnt how to lay out these features on a music magazine. For example the masthead goes along the top of the magazine and must be in the biggest font size; also the CVI can also be positioned in front of the masthead to demonstrate that it is more important (the masthead must still be legible). I used natural lighting for my CVI on the front cover and trialled many different camera angles before choosing the best one to fit in with the layo ut I had in mind (med ium close -up) . Lastly I learnt the conve ntio ns of a pop maga zin e, this wa s the found atio n upon whic h I could strive for succ e ss in terms of achie ving the look I wa nted.
