What have I learnt from
my audience feedback?
Print Advert
What People Enjoyed/thought went well
•   The image of the skyline, many people enjoyed the iconic view of Liverpool, as well as
    being a striking image that if they ‘saw it on a bus, they’d watch it (which is what one
    person said) it also linked well with the topic
•   The slogan, people seemed to enjoy the humorous pun, and thought that it slotted in
    well with the laid back tone of the programme
•   The bright colours we used, red and yellow made the Print Advert stand out amongst
    the audience who watched it


What people thought could have been improved
•   There was no real stand-out criticism for the print advert, everyone seemed to enjoy
    it, and it achieved its simple objective as being eye-catching
The Radio Trailer
What people enjoyed/thought went well
•   The voiceover for the radio script proved hugely popular with the audience as they
    enjoyed that it was a recognisable Scouse accent and thought it linked well with
    the topic. People also liked the idea we used the same voiceover for the
    documentary, as well as the Radio trailer




What people thought could be improved
•   Some would have liked to have seen the thoughts of those who weren’t from the
    city included in the radio trailer, as one person rightly pointed out ‘people from the
    city are always going to love the city’ this meaning I’d need to film people outside
    of Liverpool to gain a fair judgement on Scousers
The Documentary
What people enjoyed/thought went well
•   The three main interviews we chose went well with viewers. People liked that a well
    known person was featured in Joe Anderson as one person said ‘ I particularly enjoyed
    the interview with the councillor’. The socio-linguist Michael Sace-Piegge was also
    favourable amongst viewers as he was seen as ‘very interesting’ and the stand-up
    comedian Sam Avery fitted in well with the topic of Scouse humour, which everyone
    seemed to enjoy
•    The main outlook was that people enjoyed the 5 minutes and it ‘made them want to
    see more
•   People enjoyed the humorous tone that I purposely used throughout the programme


• What people thought could be improved
•   One person in particular said they they’d like to have seen more young people being
    interviewed as oppose to older people being interviewed
•   More interviews and include some from outside the city
