This five star rated resort that has a private beach and a lagoon themed swimming pool, which was a great hit among the foreign tourists who had visited the place. However, as the place was new and most foreigners visit the islands with prior hotel bookings, the last tourist season was not that busy for the resort. In the next tourist season, the resort aims at accommodating more tourists and thus expanding business. The customers, who visited last year, have committed that they would refer friends and family to visit the resort. However, this much of promotion is not enough for the resort to increase their business. Thus the owner of the resort has planned to create a website, which would host all the details of the resort. Information regarding all the suites and rooms available in the resort will be available on the website and the customers will be able to books suites and rooms directly from the website. Online payments will be possible via the website. The resort owner wants that all the bookings and facilities that a tourist visiting Man-O-War Cay might want to use should be either available at the resort’s website or links to departments or other organizations providing those facilities should be available on the website of `Hotel The Cove’. The plan is to involve a team of IT professionals who will perform the procedure of installation of the required network of computers and the relevant software, which the resort needs in order to host the website. The same system will be used by the staffs of Hotel The cove, to update the information about the availability of rooms in the resort. The system will also be used by the foreign tourists for the purpose of booking rooms. The IT workforce will consist of: · 6 IT engineers who will implement the system, install the required IT networks and software in order to host the website and computerize the whole system of booking, logging, payment and record maintenance (Lloyd, 2013). · 2 IT professionals who would provide training to the staff such that they are able to perform very basic functions on the system (Lock, 2013). · 2 IT professionals who will be deployed at the resort in order to maintain the system that is being implemented (Morris, 2013). As the website will make online payments possible, rigorous testing of this particular procedure was made in order ensure safety of the system. Risk is defined as the possibility of a threat to exploit vulnerabilities which are found within information systems to cause harm and compromise data. Risk occurs in different types and they affect information systems differently depending on the vulnerability being exploited and there intended faction.
Risks in the industry financial sector in firms, such as Wells Fargo, are associated with the loose of client information, loss of financial proprietary information as well as the risk of fraud when their information systems platform gets hacked. For the research, risk on client information will be in focus as it is the most prominent form of risks that various financial firm face (McLaughlin, 2018). Risk towards client details occurs in the form of hackers, a systems glitch which leads to clients having a slow time accessing their funds and compromising of client information which can mismatch of vital client information leading to loses to the company.
Information and technology is an important aspect of Wells Fargo operations since it keeps all the records of its clients and tracking various transactions that the company makes with different stakeholders. One of the risks that the company faces is human error, since its employees are in charge of ensuring they key in the right information, every now and then, employees might key in the wrong information for a client and this can lead to the company information systems holding the wrong information pertaining to different clients. This makes it easier for people to commit fraud and embezzle funds from the bank (Willcocks, 2013).
Wells Fargo being a financial institution is repeatedly under threat by hackers and people trying to amend their financial situations which means that they need to ensure that their financial systems are safe and have no risks which can be exploited by any party. Being that the Wells Fargo is a major credit company, the company risks the loss of its client’s data if it happens to be hacked and also when clients provide their private information to fraudsters who use the information to conduct credit card fraud where they open up credit cards and lines using the client’s name.
In the recent past, Wells Fargo has been accused of opening up accounts for its clients without their consent which is major personnel risk which the firm used to increase their revenues but in the process ended up losing revenues through court fines and a reduction of its brand market worth. Information systems face internals risks as highlighted by this move and having information systems which would warn employees and the managers of the firm of various ethical violations would have helped the company to maintain its brand's and save revenue which it used to pay court fines and damages (McLaughlin, 2018).

Part 1: Capital Budgeting Analysis
Adams, Incorporated would like to add a new line of business to its existing retail
business. The new line of business will be the manufacturing and distribution of animal
feeds. This is a major capital project. Adams, Incorporated is aware you an in an MBA
program and would like you to help analysis the viability of this major business venture
based on the following information:
• The production line would be set up in an empty lot the company owns.
• The machinery’s invoice price would be approximately $200,000, another
$10,000 in shipping charges would be required, and it would cost an additional
$30,000 to install the equipment.
• The machinery has useful life of 4 years, and it is a MACRS 3-year asset.
• The machinery is expected to have a salvage value of $25,000 after 4 years of
use.
• This new line of business will generate incremental sales of 1,250 units per year
for 4 years at an incremental cost of $100 per unit in the first year, excluding
depreciation. Each unit can be sold for $200 in the first year. The sales price
and cost are expected to increase by 3% per year due to inflation.
• Net working capital would have to increase by an amount equal to 12% of sales
revenues. The firm’s tax rate is 40%, and its overall weighted average cost of
capital is 10%.
Required:
1. If the company spent $40,000 last year in the upkeep of the empty lot, should this
cost be included in the analysis? Why or why not?
2. Disregard the assumptions in part 1 above. What is the machinery’s depreciable
basis? What are the annual depreciation expenses?
3. Calculate the annual sales revenues and costs (other than depreciation).
4. Construct annual incremental operating cash flow statements.
5. Estimate the required net working capital for each year based on sales for the
following year. Working capital will be recovered at the end of year 4.
6. Calculate the after-tax salvage cash flow.
7. Calculate the net cash flows for each year. Based on these cash flows, what are
the project’s NPV, IRR, Profitability Index (PI), and payback?
8. Can you use the Payback method to decide whether this is a good project or

• BACKGROUND:
Nike was founded in 1964 by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight in Beaverton, Oregon. It
began as Blue-Ribbon Sports (BRS). In 1972, BRS introduced a new brand of athletic
footwear called Nike, named for the Greek winged goddess of victory. The company
employs 26,000 staff around the world with revenues in fiscal year 2005 of $13.7 billion.
It has facilities in Oregon, Tennessee, North Carolina, and the Netherlands with more than
200 factory stores, a dozen Nike women stores, and more than 100 sales and
administrative offices. Its subsidiaries include Cole Haan Holdings, Inc., Bauer Nike
Hockey, Hurley
International LLC, Nike IHM, Inc., Converse Inc., and Execter Brands Group LLC. As of May
31, 2004, manufacturing plants included Nike brand, with 137 factories in the Americas
(including the United States), 104 in EMEA, 252 in North Asia, and 238 in South Asia,
providing more than 650,000 jobs to local communities.
• OBJECTIVE
Nike grew from a sneaker manufacturer in the early 1970s to a global company selling a
large number of products throughout the world. Nike’s sneaker supply chain was
historically highly centralized. The product designs, factory contracts, and delivery are
managed through the headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. By 1998, there were 27
different and highly customized order management systems that did not talk well to the
home office in Beaverton, Oregon. At that time Nike decided to purchase and implement
a single- instance ERP system along with supply chain and customer relationship
management systems to control the nine-month manufacturing cycle better, with the

Our desire to reach further and further into space has also sped up the evolution of soft robotics as seen in new space suits under development and the exploration of our nearby planets. The data collection that these robots will provide to further scientific research here on earth will prove to be invaluable in the future. Further employment of soft robotics in existing industries would create the supply and demand effect needed to fund further research and development.

Risk occurs in different types and they affect information systems differently depending on the vulnerability being exploited and there intended faction.

In the recent past, Wells Fargo has been accused of opening up accounts for its clients without their consent which is major personnel risk which the firm used to increase their revenues but in the process ended up losing revenues through court fines and a reduction of its brand market worth. Nike was founded in 1964 by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight in Beaverton, Oregon. It
began as Blue-Ribbon Sports (BRS). In 1972, BRS introduced a new brand of athletic
footwear called Nike, named for the Greek winged goddess of victory. The company
employs 26,000 staff around the world with revenues in fiscal year 2005 of $13.7 billion.
It has facilities in Oregon, Tennessee, North Carolina, and the Netherlands with more than
200 factory stores, a dozen Nike women stores, and more than 100 sales and
administrative offices. Its subsidiaries include Cole Haan Holdings, Inc., Bauer Nike
Hockey, Hurley
International LLC, Nike IHM, Inc., Converse Inc., and Execter Brands Group LLC. As of May
31, 2004, manufacturing plants included Nike brand, with 137 factories in the Americas
(including the United States), 104 in EMEA, 252 in North Asia, and 238 in South Asia,
providing more than 650,000 jobs to local communities.
• OBJECTIVE
Nike grew from a sneaker manufacturer in the early 1970s to a global company selling a
large number of products throughout the world. Nike’s sneaker supply chain was
historically highly centralized. The product designs, factory contracts, and delivery are
managed through the headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. By 1998, there were 27
different and highly customized order management systems that did not talk well to the
home office in Beaverton, Oregon. At that time Nike decided to purchase and implement
a single- instance ERP system along with supply chain and customer relationship
management systems to control the nine-month manufacturing cycle better, with the

It makes sense to approach a museum the way a seasoned traveler approaches visiting a city for the first time. Find out what is available to see. In the museum, find out what sort of exhibitions are currently housed in the museum and start with the exhibits that interest you. Human beings have forever been fascinated by the fine line between Science Fiction and Science Fact. We have used science fiction to catapult our imaginations into a tangible reality. Our desire to reach further and further into space has also sped up the evolution of soft robotics as seen in new space suits under development and the exploration of our nearby planets. The data collection that these robots will provide to further scientific research here on earth will prove to be invaluable in the future. Further employment of soft robotics in existing industries would create the supply and demand effect needed to fund further research and development.
