• The Bride
Setting and location
• Set in Chloe Skinners house
• It is a typical family home and that is what we
wanted.

• Started with dressing gowns to look like the
characters are getting ready.
• Wedding dress to show it was a wedding day.
• Bracelet to cover bruise on wrist.

• We edited some of the shots so they are
darker in light and colour. We did this because
low key lighting makes the mood more eerie.
• we used a range of different camera shots to
make the status of the character obvious. For
example using a high angle shot to make a
character look small and unimportant.
Title font and style
• For the title and credits we chose a fancy font
to fit in with the drama genre. It lets the
audience know that it is a posh genre.
Story and how the opening sets it up
• The story is about a secretly abusive
relationship. The woman is embarrassed
about being trapped with him and doesn’t tell
anyone.
• The opening shows that the film is about
domestic abuse because of the focus on the
bruises on her body.
Genre and how the opening suggests it
• It falls into the drama genre
• The opening suggests that our film is a drama
by the slow start and how the actors are
together. We have not made it completely
obvious that the film is about domestic
violence but have dropped little hints like they
do in drama films.
How characters are introduced
• The main character is introduced first and is
shown to be a weak person.
• The fiancée is shown to be a dominant person.
