4. Camera
• Camera: Close ups shots were used to shows Lol’s and Kelly’s emotion when Lol makes her
confession. A high angle shot was also used to focus on Lol when confessing to her family and
friends as if it was the law looking down on her, that she will have to face up to what she has
done. It was used again to look down at the table, this gives a feeling of claustrophobia as you
can see how many people are squeezed around table.
• Lighting: Looking back in this dinner scene, you can see the lighting is high key lighting because
it’s soft bright light, this is a necessary element to suggests a happy mood.

5. Technical
• Sound: Clock ticking can be heard in the background with no other sound, this was
used to build intense, tension were built as voices started to raises.
• Editing: Cutaways were used in this to shows people’s emotion round the table.
Cutaways were used in this too, it was used to create the pace and the rising
emotions in the room.

6. Story Arc
• Climax – This is the part where everyone is sitting around the table all excited to
hear some big news and are excited thinking about what the good news could be
and do not realise that she has some bad news. Everyone is upset and start to
argue after Lol confesses to Kelly that she has murdered their father for raping
their sister and that she let Combo go to prison to service time for something he
did not do.
• Falling action - Kelly leaves the room and refuses to believe what Lol has said
about their father and can’t handle hearing the truth from her sister. Kelly goes to
her room and quickly throws her clothes and belongings in a bag and runs out of
the house. Still clearly upset she ends up walking through a park and down
through a subway.
