This meta-analysis evaluates the prognostic role of C-reactive protein (CRP) in type A acute aortic dissection (AAD) using data from nine studies involving 1693 patients. Elevated CRP levels at admission are significantly associated with increased risks of in-hospital mortality, with a pooled hazard ratio of 1.17. The analysis shows no heterogeneity among the studies, and CRP is suggested as a convenient prognostic factor in these patients.
