The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2. Q1
X is a British racing team which was founded in 1977 and first won a grand
prix in 1979.
The following drivers' won Formula One Drivers' Championship for X:
- Alan Jones
- Keke Rosberg
- Nelson Piquet
- Alain Prost
- Damon Hill
- Jacques Villeneuve
The name X might also remind you of a tennis player. What is X?
4. Q2
In 1960s, a flurry of British teams like Lotus, Cooper British Racing Motors
(BRM) entered the grid in F1. Later Williams and Mclaren also joined them.
Enzo Ferrari, who was never shy of voicing his opinions, dubbed these teams
'garagiste' teams, who dared to challenge grand constructors like Ferrari.
All of these teams had one thing in common, that they did not manufacture a
certain part of the car on their own.
Nowadays, it is common for teams to not make this part on their own and
buy it from other teams(only 4/10 teams make this part). What part are we
talking about?
6. Q3
X is a type of Motor racing in which usually 2 cars compete at a
time and it includes a standing start. The race follows a short, straight
course over a measured distance, which is normally quarter of a mile.
A popular game, CSR racing, is inspired from this form of racing.
Identify X.
8. Q4
The world's oldest active endurance racing event, X hours of Le
Mans, is held every June near the town of Le Mans in France. The
winner of this race is not decided by who completes a fixed distance
in the least amount of time, but by who covers the most distance in X
hours. In 2021, Toyota Gazoo Racing was the team which won.
How long does X last?
10. Q5
X is one of the oldest motor racing circuit in the world. It has hosted
the Y grand prix every year since 1949 except in 1980, when it could
not be hosted due to undergoing refurbishment at the time. It is one
of the fastest circuits, and is often called the Temple of Speed.
It was here that 4 time world champion Sebastian Vettel won his first
grand prix with Toro Rosso in 2008.
Identify X and Y (a country).
12. Q6
X is a motorsport championship which was conceived in 2011 in Paris. The
inaugural championship race was held in Beijing 2014. Currently, the
championship involves 12 teams with 2 drivers each and racing generally
takes place on street circuits. Fanboost is a unique feature in X which
allows fans to play an active role in influencing the outcome of a race
by giving the most voted driver an extra boost of performance.
X promotes the adoption of sustainable mobility in city centres in a bid
to combat air pollution and lessen the effects of climate change.
Identify X.
14. Q7
X is one of the four current F1 tracks to have also featured on the inaugural
1950 World Championship Calendar and is the longest circuit on the current F1
calendar. It has the highest elevation change of any current circuit, with 102.2
metres between the highest and the lowest points. The name X might remind you
of a procedure which helps relax your body and mind.
The circuit features one of the most famous corners in all of F1, Y. This iconic
section includes a downhill left hand turn followed by a sharp uphill section and
right left combination with a blind summit that the best drivers take flat out.
It often rains at this circuit, and at one stage it rained at the Grand Prix for 20
years in a row.
Identify X and Y.
16. Q8
When an f1 car moves quite fast a pocket of air of low pressure is created
behind it. Drivers take advantage of this phenomenon (created by the car in
front of them) to accelerate at a faster rate down the straights, in that
case this phenomenon is called X. When this occurs on corners it makes
overtaking difficult due to lowering the amount of grip and aerobalance of
the car. It is then called Y.
What are the terms X and Y?
18. Q9
A tradition of racing which is practiced by racers who top the
podium was started due to an accident by Jo Siffert after he won
the Le Mans in 1966. This action was deliberately copied by Dan
Gurney when he won the same race. Lewis Hamilton played with fire
when he performed this tradition on President Vladimir Putin.
Identify this tradition.
20. Q10
X is a type of race that requires 200 laps to complete and the total
length a car has to traverse is 500 miles.A driver can be considered
as a participant in the race officially if the driver has completed half
the laps or stage 2. The effect of this race is such that the car
engines last only one race and have to be rebuilt (they become worn
out).
Identify X.
22. Q11
● There are many F1 rivalries between different teams but it is
presumptuous for us to consider that this cannot take place among
teammates. There was one such rivalry that started between two
teammates X and Y.
● X asked Y to not race each other until they got beyond tosa (turn 3 at San
Marino grand prix). X started in pole position but after Gerhard Berger’s
fiery crash the race was stopped.
● When the race resumed again Y made the better getaway only for X to
divebomb him into tosa and snatch the lead. Y was absolutely livid and
threatened to quit the sport.
● Identify X and Y.
24. Q12
● Races featuring X can have children racing from the age of 5.
● X doesn’t have suspension so X comes with wheels that can lift
off safely while cornering.
● It serves as a great learning experience and introduction to the
world of motor racing. It can take place indoor as well as
outdoor.
● Identify X
26. Q13
● A type of off-road motorcycle racing held on surfaces
made up of dirt, sand, mud, grass and so on is termed as
X.
● The unique thing about X is that the riders start alongside
each other. Sometimes there is also a special award given
to the rider who is the first one through the first turn.
● The riders while racing have to go airborne as they have
to perform many jumps.
● What is X?
28. Q14
● There are certain people in the world of racing who can be
attributed as being the best drivers but the Australian driver X
can boast of winning a world championship in a car Y.
● He also pulled an eccentric stunt by hobbling to his car while
wearing a false beard and using a cane at the Dutch Grand Prix.
● What is unique about the car Y?
29. The engine of the car was of his (Jack Brabham) own
design and the chassis used was Brabham BT19 (made
by his own team).
30. Q15
Formula 1 has had a lot of controversial sponsorships
over the years. One of them is the partnership between
Marlboro and Ferrari. Initially, the Marlboro logo was
there only on the team's racing suits and helmets, but soon
started being featured on the main livery.
In 2006, the FIA banned Tobacco sponsorships in
accordance with EU regulations. This prompted Marlboro
to come up with an insanely creative method to sponsor
their brand. There was a barcode-like design on the car.
How was this barcode design an advertisement for
Marlboro?
