1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? The research part of creating my magazine taught me a lot about the media industry and the publishing houses. I learnt that the internet was widely used to advertise magazines, read magazines and buy magazines. It made me realise how vast the production of magazines is. I have learnt a great deal about technologies whilst constructing this product. I developed my skills on image manipulation when using Photoshop and pinik. I experimented with the various effects and had some useful outcomes that I used in my magazine. I have learnt a great deal about photography skills when constructing my magazine. I have learnt what camera settings give you the desired effect, what shots create a certain look and what angles are effective. The software I used throughout the construction of my magazine has enabled my skills to develop. I have learnt many skills on Photoshop that I wouldn’t have been able to complete my magazine without. One of them being cutting out images and smoothing the background out. I used this skill continuously throughout the production of my magazine and the majority of my images have had something cut out of the background. Image Manipulation
