1. These are the technologies I have
learnt throughout the making of this
product.

2. I use blogger to keep the moderator up to date with my progression throughout the year and
how far along I have come in the making of my product.
I think blogger is good because it has helped me keep track of my work and it also helps me
focus on the things I am doing wrong and what I need to do to change it.
Finally it helps me with time management because I realize what needs doing before it is too
late.

3. I used an SLR camera to take the pictures
for my magazine. This was to make the
pictures more professional looking. It
also helped with the lighting as it was
a dark night therefore a picture off a
mobile phone would have been too dark.
Using this SLR camera helped me get to
grips with how they are used and
what different things I needed to think
of before I took the pictures.

4. Another thing I learned through making this product was how to use photoshop. At first is all
looked very complicated but the more I got used to it the better I got and I found it quite fun.

5. One of the tricks I learned was how to blur the background of a picture. The first thing I did was
select the polygon lasso tool.

6. I then cut around the outside of my model until all the outside of her was fully cut out. I then
clicked select across the top toolbar and clicked inverse. This selected the background rather than
the model (as shown in the picture).

7. I then clicked filter, blur then blur again with gave me the finish of a blurred background which is
exactly what I wanted for my finished piece.

8. Another piece of technology I used in the process of making this product is Flickr. I used this as
another social media site where I uploaded pictured of my finished magazine for people to see
I also talked about distributors and Places I would like my magazine to be sold. This was an easy
technology to use but it was good and it was new to me so it was another thing I had learned
about.

9. I used prezi to make powerpoints that were more fun. They had better transactions from slide
to slide and they look very professional. I have used prezi a few times through the process of
making my magazine and I think it is a good technology to use because it is simple yet looks
very professional. I think that without these prezi’s my finished product wouldn’t be as good.

10. I also used slide share to embed my powerpoints on to my blog. This was good because
powerpoints are very easy to make but not everyone knows how to upload them on to the
internet. I am glad I learned how to use slide share because I think it could come in handy at
any time as powerpoint is something that everyone uses at some point.

11. Finally I used word it out to make a fun
little picture which includes all the
technologies that I used throughout
this process. This was just to add a new
technology to my list and also to look
nice and incorporate al my
technologies in to one image.
