Editor's Notes

  • #3 Beauty evokes curiosity / opposite of curiosity is boredom
  • #4 If you visualization generates more questions than it answers, use words.
  • #6 Same participants Same moderator Same product
  • #13 Confidence is visualized/stated.
  • #15 Numbers are summaries
  • #17 Tables are great visualizations.
  • #18 Practice!
  • #20 Practice!
  • #21 Were the same tasks used across all studies? Was the same product tested? Were the participants similar?
  • #22 How many issues does 30% represent? Does each icon represent an issue or a participant? How do you define ‘high severity’? Is this good or bad?
  • #23 Sometimes numbers make the best visuals. Why do I need a visual to understand this?
  • #24 Is this statistically significant?
  • #25 What do the colors mean? What does word size represent? What’s the sample size?
  • #26 Am I missing data or context?
  • #27 Beauty evokes curiosity / opposite of curiosity is boredom
