2. The problem
Thinking is a technological process that
uses words. But the method of choosing
the words correctly is … absent!
People just use any words or expressions
that come to mind
They are not aware that words have
hidden meanings that strongly influence
the decision they make
2
3. An example
Compare “The hammer fell because of the
law of gravity” with “The hammer fell
because a black cat crossed my path”
“Because” means “an explanation will
follow”. But the second explanation is
absurd. So, “because” is a misused word
PsyClue teaches people how to think
without becoming confused or misled by
their own mind 3
4. An unwanted result
In flight, a pilot follows a procedure and
uses trusted data. But at home he screams
at his wife. He makes his personal
decisions without data analysis, logic, or
procedure, exactly as they were made 300
years ago
We do not use our brain correctly. We use
technology in everything but our thinking 4
5. The project in one slide
This is a chocolate bar.
And we have the good
sense to unwrap it and
not eat the foil
Yet, we act on every
passing thought, unable
to distinguish “the
chocolate from its wrap”
The solution for the mind
is to remove the mental
wrap, enjoy the chocolate
5
6. PsyClue
•helps to understand our
thought process
•teaches to think win-win
•is a Siri for solving personal
and interpersonal problems
•Provides effective advice
instantly, at very low cost
6
7. Happy or unhappy?
7
This is my guinea pig, Bobo. Am I happier
than Bobo? Depends on how I use my mind
Those who are less happy than Bobo will be
helped by PsyClue very much
8. The solution
Within a human head, there is a dialogue of two
different entities
One entity is person-centered, alive, and has a
time dimension. It offers win-win solutions
Another entity is influenced by society and has
no time dimension. It has inanimate
characteristics and offers lose-lose solutions
Using educational materials, keyword-based
squash-dialogue, and a specially organized
database, PsyClue helps users eliminate self-
defeating thoughts from their decision-making 8
9. An example
User: [PROBLEM]: Rita is always screaming
PsyClue highlights always as this is a word that
stops time. The user has to rephrase the
[PROBLEM] without this keyword
User: Rita screams when I do not do dishes
PsyClue sees no keywords and knows that a
solution must be obvious
PsyClue: Please give three solutions
User: Buy a dishwasher. Do dishes. Dine out
PsyClue: Status of the [PROBLEM]?
User [SOLVED]
9
10. The method
For the mind to become aware of it, a situation
must be expressed in words. But people are not
aware that some words mislead them. We teach
how to think using words that do not betray
The inanimate participant of the internal
dialogue describes the situation using time-
stopping words. Following this participant causes
failure. PsyClue disallows these words, making
this participant unable to express itself
As the animate participant is the one able to
speak, a win-win solution becomes obvious 10
11. Who can be helped
PsyClue can’t cure a psychiatric illness. But
it would do no harm
There is a great need for psychological
help, and a shortage of psychiatrists.
Psychiatric help is expensive, and not
always effective
PsyClue will help people who cannot get
the most out of life and are confused,
upset, angry, fearful, or unhappy. The
positive impact of PsyClue could be huge
11
12. PsyClue consists of
MVP:
a book that explains the technology of optimal
thinking delivered in a form of audio lectures,
exercises, supportive messages
FULL VERSION:
• a “conversation partner” disallows the keywords
that lead us to make self-defeating decisions
• a server that has “therapies” for every type of a
problem. The competition can’t copy that
• access to win-win goods and services. Win-win
world treats people as assets, not as targets
12
13. Market Summary
Target population is English speaking
smartphone owners aged 20 to 50. Minus those
who are very religious, those who mistrust
psychology, and are satisfied with their success
As the app improves its “therapies” with every
user case, up to 0.1% of the target population
may use it. This is 100,000 users in the US and
Canada as a “first wave”. As they see how helpful
is the app, the second wave will come. Most
people need PsyClue; some need it desperately.
There also could be versions in other languages 13
14. Competitive Advantage
The app is based on two key technologies
developed by the Founder, Matthew Maly:
1. The two-voice model of human
psychological functioning
2. The win-win principle
Our database of therapies will help us
dominate the market. The competition is a
technological generation behind
14
15. The Competition
We are a self-help tamagotchi. Our
model works, and users understand it.
We deal with causes, not just with
manifestations. We go to the source,
heal, and make the problem go away
We are always available, we talk to
you, and the app is cheap. Our
technology gives us a great advantage 15
16. The Financial Model
We are looking to raise $50,000 to build an
MVP and to market the app. We will need
another $100,000 to build the Full Version
For the MVP, we charge quarterly
subscription, sell ads for win-win services
The Full Version gets additional revenue
from promoting the “the win-win
community” such as win-win vendors
We want to live in the win-win world, and
PsyClue is its founding company because
only the win-win people can live there
