Rationale for Selecting Report
Any academic course of the study has a great value when it has practical application in the real
life. Only a lot of theoretical knowledge will be little important unless it is application in the
practical life. So we need proper application of our knowledge to get some benefit from our
theoretical knowledge to make it more fruitful when we engage ourselves in such field to make
proper use of our theoretical knowledge. Such an application is made possible through
internship. Selecting a topic for a report is the first thing to do and sometimes it becomes hard to
choose a topic for the report. My internship report title is “ Credit Management Of Mutual
Trust Bank Limited –Kakrail Branch , Dhaka “ As I’m doing my Internship at Mutual Trust
Bank Ltd. there I have been transferred from different department to department. First I was told
to work in General Banking department, and then after few weeks I was been told to work on
credit department with a experienced senior officer and from that moment to till now I am
working in that department. The senior officer that I work with, he is very helpful and teach me
about different issues regarding credit management. My work is more about learning things from
the senior officer that how they deal with different situations on credit management where my
practical work is less. As I mentioned earlier that the senior officer are very helpful and they are
helping me doing my report. So, these are the few reasons which helped me to choose the topic.

General Objective
The main objective of the study is to evaluate Credit Management of the Mutual Trust Bank
Limited (MTBL).
Specific Objectives
1. To identify the Lending procedures maintained by MTBL.
2. To know the terms and conditions and of credit management of MTBL.
3. To know the various interest rates for different categories of loan and what kinds of securities
taken against different size of advances.
4. To analyze the work process and monitoring system and credit risk grading system of credit
department.
5. To identify some problems and provide suggestions related to Credit Management of MTBL
