SUBJECT: Developing a better future for female athletes
The sport industry is filled with many talented athletes, many female athletes get
overshadow by their male counterparts. Male athletes dominate the attention in the
media, get better scholarships and higher income, while female athletes are still
facing discrimination because of social standards. I am happy to present the
following plan to establish a sport marketing campaign to help female athletes fight
back against gender bias and stereotyping.
Background and Purpose
Nike is a well-known brand across the globe and sponsors some of the most high-
profile athletes in the world. Nike is supporting elite football programs from North
America to China, and standout female athletes worldwide. Nike is partnering with
the WNBA, FIBA and the Chinese Basketball Association to grow the women’s game.
As well as partnering with more than 200 universities across the U.S. to support
more than 25,000 top female athletes across multiple sports. I would like to create
more awareness to so we can create a better future for the next generations to
come. You as a well-known brand can help us continue fighting for gender bias and
stereotyping against female athletes.
Proposed Plan of Action
Our goal with this marketing campaign is to help female athletes to fight back
against gender bias and unfair stereo type. I want this campaign to help create
awareness for a future generation where female and male athletes can be seen as
equal in the sport industry. This campaign can help upcoming female athletes have
a better future.
Schedule
This schedule outlines specific deadlines for the marketing campaign.
July 1st Budget Overview
July 5- 10 Designing Process
August 2nd Website Launch
August 5-8 Marketing
August 30th Event planning
Staffing
I have a team with of highly qualitied individuals that can make this campaign very
successful. Alexa Bruno will be the marketing manager; she has 6 years of experience
in this field and graduated from Full Sail University. Anna Rossello will be the pay
per click specialist; she has 6 years of experience and graduated from YSU. Liz Pride
will be SEO specialist; she has been in this field for 9 years. Laura Gonzalez will be
our developer; she has 4 years of experience.
