SBMT aims to promote itself abroad and attract more foreign students. It proposes several initiatives: 1) Offer 1-2 scholarships per year for foreign students, as many US students rely on scholarships. 2) Provide summer training opportunities at major Belarusian companies to appeal to foreign students. 3) Increase social media activity by regularly posting on platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

2. According to some statistical data about
two-thirds of the USA full-time
students pay for college with
scholarships or grants. SBMT cannot
offer such opportunity for foreign
students and it is a problem. In our
opinion, the school should start
granting 1 - 2 scholarships per
year

3. We can offer foreign students an
opportunity to have a summer
trainings in the biggest Belarussian
companies such as BelAZ, BelarusKaliy,
EPAM, Wargaiming, etc. These companies
are well-known in the world and such
opportunity is a great way to attract foreign
students

4. SBMT has accounts in all kinds of
social media. But activity in these
accounts is not so high as it can be.
It is needed to post video, stories
and photos regularly using hashtag
#SBMT.

5. Activity in corporate social responsibility
Corporate social responsibility is an
integral part of life of any decent
business schools in Western countries.
Unfortunately, SBMT has no activities
in CSR or at least mentions about CSR
on the website. Notice, that there is a
special ranking (the year’s QS
ranking) which shows importance of
CSR activities in world leading business
schools. Obviously, a foreign student
cannot see SBMT in this ranking…

6. Publishing own magazines and books
Needless to say about importance
of own magazines and books for a
business school. It is safe to say
about absence of them in our alma
mater. We offer to publish 2
issues per year containing
information about economies of
Eastern Europe countries,
researches, SBMT achievements,
etc.

7. Translate SBMT website into Chinese
According to tut.by statistics there
are already more than 2.000
Chinese students in Belarus. This
figures is continuously increasing.
So, we need to develop our website
in the Chinese language

8. Other steps just to improve SMBT
These steps don’t influence directly SBMT brand
awareness among foreign students but they help to
make our alma mater better and more attractive in
general.
