ProKeys is a Chrome extension that allows users to save text snippets and abbreviations to insert common comments or passages of text quickly. It works across Google Drive, Schoology, and email. Users can organize snippets into folders, insert links in comments, and use voice typing in Google Docs and Slides. The extension aims to save time by allowing quick insertion of longer texts through abbreviations.

2. What It Is - A Text Expander
➢ Save time and effort in comments and emails.
➢ Allows you to save text expansions and associate them
with short abbreviations.
➢ Can save fairly large pieces of text (email length).
➢ Works in Drive, Schoology, emails.

4. HOW TO:
1. A hotkey is a combination of keys providing quick access to a particular function. The default hot key
is SHIFT SPACE (In settings, you have the option to change the hotkey).
2. Create a Snippet Name (the abbreviated combo of characters you’ll type in lieu of your comment).
3. Create the Snippet Body (the full comment).

5. Once you create your Snippet, you are ready to use it within Google Docs, Schoology or an email:
1. Type the Snippet; type the Hot Key (shift space bar)
2. Your comment appears in the comment box.
3. You have the option to add to or edit the comment before you press save.
Here, the Snippet was “top” so I
typed top and then pressed the
shift and space bar.
The comment, “Yes. This topic
sentence leads with purpose.”
appeared in the comment box.
I then added more text to the
comment before hitting save.
