PROJECT CONTROLLER
As a Project Controller in the Plessey South Africa Operations team, you will support a
compliment of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers and be responsible for
project systems implementation and maintenance, project reporting, implementation of a
project management methodology, project financial system maintenance, project processes
and procedure compilation and implementation and documentation storage and
management.
What we will expect you to do:
As a Project Controller you be responsible for the following:
Project system implementation and management
• Coordinate the implementation of a usable, business specific project system
• Maintain the system
• Formulate the associated processes and procedures
• Train the project staff in the use of the system
• Monitor and control the specified system input
Project reporting
• Coordinate project reporting system input
• Formulate the associated processes and procedures
• Liaise with project staff to maintain and control input accuracy
• Generate specified reports for all internal and external stakeholders
Project management methodology
• Coordinate the implementation of a business specific project management
methodology
• Document a training guide for field use
• Train the project staff in the use of the methodology
• Formulate the associated processes and procedures
Project financial system maintenance
• Ensure SAP project financials are accurate, justifiable and in line with costs
budgeted/planned
Documentation storage and management
• Coordinate the implementation of a usable, business specific documentation storage
and management system
• Maintain the system
• Formulate the associated processes and procedures
• Train the project staff in the use of the system
• Monitor and control the specified system input
• Ensure adequate documentation revision control
Here’s what we are looking for in candidates for this job:
Key requirements:
• Diploma in project management and/or financial management would be an
advantage
• Experience with SAP financials within a project management environment would be
an advantage
• Systems design and implementation experience
• Proficient in MS Office suite including MS Project
