2. The fortress is among the most spectacular and mysterious medieval citadels in Transylvania
and it is a true historic monument. Visitors are thrilled when discovering this place, and
encountering a world of the past. This is actually a Saxon settlement which was first
mentioned papers in 1289, but was actually founded sometime in the 12th century. The
fortress is made up of 9 towers, the most representative being The Clock Tower. It got its
name because of the figurine clock, at the 4th floor, unique in Romania.

3. It is also worth visiting the Hill
Church, a valuable architectural
monument of the fortress, the
covered stair built in 1662, to
facilitate the children's access to the
up hill school. Initially it had 300
stairs, protected by a roof, but after
the modifications in 1849 only 175
stairs remained.
Sighisoara is a true phenomenon of
modern times. Older than the
majority of the European capitals, it
seems to be insensitive to time and
changes, keeping its quiet medieval
town aura, refusing to accept the
realities of the 21st century.

4. Peleș Castle
Peles Castle, the summer
residence of the kings of
Romania, was built in the
time of King Carol I of
Romania and became one
of the most important
monuments of 19th century
in Europe.
A towering statue of King
Carol I overlooks the main
entrance.
Peleş Castle has a 3,200-
square-metre (34,000 sq ft)
floor plan with over 170
rooms, many with
dedicated themes from
world cultures.
Peles was first castle
electrified in Europe.

5. Peleș Castle

china, tapestries.

6. Rasnov City
Is an old peasant fortress,
located at about 15 km
from the city of Brasov.
Rasnov was built around
the year 1215 by the
Teutonic Knights and by
peasants Rasnov
inhabitants.
Material were used as
stone and brick. Wall

covered with tile to
prevent fires caused by
invaders.

peasant courts: one

eastern wall, bordered

Palace
Victoria Palace is a point of
interest In
Bucharest, Romania.
Was built in 1937 and it is
the headquarters of the
Prime Minister of Romania
and his cabinet.
It can be visited between 9
am and 1 pm.
This is a nice place, you can
enjoy the architecture and
the furniture from the
palace.
There you can also meet
important people like
Prime Minister and
congressmen.

9. Voroneț
Monastery
Voroneț is one of the
famous painted monasteries
from Moldavia Country.
Between May and
September 1488, Stephen III
of Moldavia (known as
"Stephen the Great“) built
the Voroneț Monastery to
commemorate the victory
at battle of Vaslui.
The frescoes at Voroneț
feature an intense shade of
blue known in Romania as
"Voroneț blue".
The exterior walls including
a representation of the Last
Judgment on the west wall
were painted in 1547.

10. National Arena
Stadium
National Arena Stadium is
the place where Romania’s
football national team
dispute the international
matches.
The stadium is placed in
Bucharest, the capital of
Romania.
This stadium has a total
capacity of 55600 places.
National Arena is largest
football stadium in Romania.
It hosted on May 9 2012 the
UEFA Europe League Final
between Atletico Madrid vs.
Atletic Bilbao, assisting
almost 53 000 spectators.
