is a non for profit, non political, non religious and non government
organization.Al Islah Center has started its operations from June 2002 by establishing an orphanage in a
rental house in Sheikh Maltoon Town Mardan. Firstly there were five children in the orphanage, but the
number of orphans was increasing day by day and within six months there were thirty Orphans inAl Islah
Center.Due to increasing number of orphans and admission of girls,a new rental building was arranged in
the early 2003 and it was specified only for female orphans.In December 2003,the executive body members
ofAl Islah Center decided to purchase land for the building ofAl Islah Center and in March 2004,a plot of
four kanals was purchased from Mardan DevelopmentAuthority (MDA).In October 2004,the construction
of building was started under the supervision of construction committee.The estimated cost for building
construction was PKR.20 million and with the support of affluent people of the society the building
construction was completed in 2010.
Al Islah Center is committed to expand its operation on a larger scale.The capacity of theAl Islah Center
Mardan is being increased to accommodate 300 children.
Al Islah Center now has its specialized sectors and programs,so,here is a brief of every programs and sector
with salient features and packages being offered under each programs
AIC is providing social protection to 150 orphan children and it has the capacity of more than 300 students.
A clean and healthy environment for the development of the children is very much a part ofAl Islah Center.
Al Islah Center Mardan has a covered area of 4 Kanal, one administration block, 38 rooms, and two
bedrooms for the tutors,TV lounge, kitchen and 24 hours security system. But all this is not just the
infrastructure.We take great pain to ensure that these children have all the facilities enjoyed by an upper
middle class child.AIC provides the following facilities free of cost to all orphan children:
1- Shelter:The children provided with free accommodation
2- Education:The children are provided free of cost education from nursery to secondary school
3- Food:breakfast,lunch,evening tea and dinner served to these kids
4- Clothes:School uniform and all necessary clothes including sport shoes and school shoes are
provided
5- Recreational facilities:indoor and outdoor games facilities are available for all children
6- Transportation:Transport facilities also provided to all students
7- Health services:There is dispensary established in the center for emergency health services.Beside
this,a medical specialist visited the center once a week for the medical check of all the kids.

8- Exposure visits:Exposure visits,shopping trips,study tours and picnics are also the main features of
AIC.
Above all, the most important aspect of AIC is care and protection of the kids (girls and boys). In this
regard there are full time arrangements of a tutor/mentor for kids who not only guide these children in
studies but keep an eye on these kids for maintaining discipline and protection of the kids.The CEO
also pays random visits for monitoring and support of the staff and kids.
Beside Orphan support program AIC is supporting poorest of the poor and marginalized group by
providing education free of cost and also on subsides rates to more than 250 children. For this
purpose AIC has established National School and College (NSC).The curriculum being taught in
NSC is based on research. Special trainings are provided to the teachers so that they are able to
delivers as demanded by the curriculum.The NSC is well equipped with modern facilities i.e. library,
computer laboratory, science laboratory, playground and indoor games facilities.AIC provides:
· Free education to 150 orphans (girls and boys)
· 250 children are getting education on subsidies rate
· 45 teachers are employed from the local community
AL ISLAH CENTER (AIC) established in 2003 and is the first private sector organization for the support
and care of orphans in the district Mardan (KPK,Pakistan).Currently,AIC is providing education,boarding,
food, uniform, books and recreational facilities to 150 orphan students.We started with a few number of
children which has now reached a number of 150.
The main features ofAIC:
· AIC has established formal secondary schools for 500 students
· It has an auditorium with capacity of 300 seats.This is used for multi-purposes i.e.seminars,
conferences,exhibition,exam etc.
· Separate HRD section has been constructed.
· 2 Kanal plot of worth PKR.15 million purchased for its school system
· 2 kanal Plot is also allotted by local authority for Mosque
Education Program

AIC is also determine to respond to natural disasters and calamities in the region.After the South Asia
earthquake 2005AIC established an orphan care center in Manshera district for those who lost either
mother or father in the earthquake and were in dire need of support. 60 such kids were sponsored for
more than 5 years and AIC provided them food, accommodation, education, uniform, books etc. facilities
to these children.
· Distributed food and non-food items among 100 earthquake affected families
· Provided cash grants of PKR. 10,000/- per family to 300 families
· Provided health care services to more than 1000 people
· Extended the net work of AlC to Islamabad and Mansehra district that is providing services to
the locals in sustainable manner
As a result of Military operation of 2009 in Malakand division 3.5 million people were displaced and
settled in different parts of the country. Majority of those IDPs were settled in Mardan either in camps
or residing with host communities. In response to that emergency AIC provided:
· Accommodation and food to 100 families IDPs in the center(building) for three months
· Health services to these 100 families for three months
· Arranged 10 free medical camps for IDPs in different places
· A cash grant of PKR. 27,500/- per family were given away and a total of PKR. 5.5 million
Distributed among 200 families.
AIC has established a vocational/training Center with the closed collaboration of Technology up
gradation and Skill development Company (TUSDEC) for the orphan children. It provides an
opportunity to all those attending it to impart new skill and enhance the existing ones.The skill
received will help these children to lead a dignified and respectable life in the society.

AIC has a special program for poor, widows and disables persons. On special occasion like Ramadan
and Eid the poor, widows and disables are supported through distribution of cash, food and non-food
items among them.
In this program AIC provides not only the unpaid help to parents for their children even financial
support also made for who adopt simplicity & doing marriages of their children
In addition AIC also arrange the simple marriages programs for poor & orphan girls in AIC & bears
whole expenses of such functions.
Under the marriage programs AIC wed locked the many couples till now, while funds are also required
at large scale to promote to this wonderful social platform of AIC for human welfare.
AIC arranges and performs collective “Qurbani” for those who cannot afford it.The event is made
possible by the contributions of philanthropists, Zakat and charities of the community.
Al Islah Center has established a dispensary for the health care of the children.The dispensary is
equipped with a doctor, two beds and medicines.Those with and health with any health complaints are
treated here.
