This document describes the process of creating a contents page for a magazine in Quark Xpress. It discusses constructing text boxes and columns for features, regulars, and a band index. Images and accompanying text are added for featured articles. Page numbers and the magazine masthead are also included at the bottom of the contents page. The final steps are editing the page and adding a title of "Contents" and release date.

1. This is the start of my
production process for
creating my contents
page. Here I have
decide to create the
contents page using
Quark Xpress. I have
started to add the boxes
to where the text is
going to be.
Here I have constructed
the text for my contents
page to give the readers
a breakdown of what
will be inside the
magazine after
purchase, meaning the
front cover was the
hints to inside the
magazine then the
contents text is the
insight on revealing the
full content. There are
three columns I have
created in my contents page; Features, Regulars, Band Index. This connotes the codes and
conventions of Kerrang magazine and how the use the three columns in their contents page.
Here is the start to the
creation of pictures to
be used in my contents
page.
This first image is to
signify “Amber hits hard
at echo arena!” this is
one of the featuring
contents for my
magazine. Along with
that the text to go with
each image to help give

This part of the
process I have added
the next image and
text to go with the
specific image for the
featuring articles.
Along with that I have
also added the page
number at the
bottom with the
Masthead of the
magazine, located at
the bottom left
corner of this page.

3. At this point I
have added all the
images to the final
product of my
contents page.
All of the text for
the certain
featuring articles
have also been
added with the
images chosen.
This is the last
part of the
production
process for my
final piece. Here I
have edited and
added the
masthead for this
page of my
magazine. You will
also be able to see
I have added the
clear title for the
page “Contents”
and the date that
the magazine
issue has been released.
