2. My work plan is a document that I will use, alike many other companies, to
organise my project. It outlines the plan by which the company plans to
complete a project within a given amount of time and in compliance with a
set budget.
My workplan is for the short film in which I'm creating, called Secrets. I have broken dowon the activites
needed, including, script writing, pre-production, filming footage, editing footage and final edits. I have
added in the dates above to show the timescale, so I can achieve the film within the deadline. Additionally, I
will keep my work plan up-to-date by adding in milestones when I've completed a task.
4. CAST AND CREW
I will need a teenage boy aged roughly 17-18 to play the character of Sebastian. He will need to
be able to play a determined brother who will do anything for his sister.
I will also need a young child aged 8-10 to play the role of Jemima. Her role will be key, yet on
screen we won't see much of her besides the beginning and the end.
Furthermore, I will need to cast a couple as neighbours. These will be the red-herring villains,
and play a fairly large role for the audience. They will need to be roughly 38-45.
Finally, I will need the key role as the mother (Juliet) and the father (Kevin). Both roughly aged
45-48, who will play the parents as well as the villains.
I will won't need too many crew members, as I will be doing the filming and the sound myself.
Additionally, I will be using equipment such as a tripod to help steady the footage. However, I
may need help with costumes, makeup, hair and props.
Furthermore, I may need a responsible adult to aid for health and safety reasons. Despite my
risk assessment, I may need assistance to help with potential hazards.
5. I will have a budget to help assist buying props for the set, any makeup or
hair products needed for the actors. In addition, due to change of location the
costing of travel will be needed.
However, I won't need any extra money for cameras, lights and any other
equipment. This is due to the availability of the school's equipment. In
addition, I also have a camera of my own, which I would probably use as well.
The majority of my budget will presumably go towards costumes and props.
Items such as a pearl bracelet, printing costs for the missing person's poster
and a police officers outfit.
My contingency plan will consist of several back up SD cards, in case they run
out of storage, using my personal camera as a back up. In addition, I will have
a few spare actors due to any infortune accidents which may suggest that
they are unable to film. Furthermore, I will upload the footage to my personal
laptop as well as the school's in case the system crashes, in attempt to not
lose my footage or editing. In addition, I will always keep an eye on
everything, for example, if I'm running low on fake blood, I will buy another.
