• THE PRIMARY CONCERN OF THIS PAPER IS THIS
MEASUREMENT AND ANALYSIS OF A LABOR
PRODUCTIVITY WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO COTTON
TEXTILE INDUSTRY IN BANGLADESH .THE ANALYSIS IS
CARRIED OUT AT TWO STAGE .THE FIRST STAGE INVOLVES
EXPLANATION OF LABOR PRODUCTIVITY AT AN
AGGREGATE LEVEL .IT HAS BEEN FOUND AT THE
AGGREGATE LEVEL THAT THE SIZE OF THE FAIM ,RATIO OF
MAN-HOURS LOST TO ACTUAL HOURS WORKED AND
CAPITAL RATIO TOGETHER EXPLAIN 80.25% OF THE
VARIATION OF LABOR PRODUCTIVITY .
