Dimension Films would be a good distributor for the film. Dimension Films specializes in distributing horror films, comedies, and action films. They have successfully distributed other slasher horror films like Scream and Halloween. Dimension Films is owned by The Weinstein Company and was formerly used to produce and release genre films for Bob Weinstein when he was at Miramax. New Line Cinema and Universal Pictures would also be good potential distributors as they have both had success distributing popular slasher horror films in the past. A major studio would be best to distribute the film in order to market it widely to its target young adult male audience.

specific production or media broadcast. In entertainment, the production
process begins with the development of a specific project.

3. Our film is a Slasher horror film which was
influenced by films such as A Nightmare On Elm
Street and Scream. Both of these films show a
young woman being killed very violently and our
film is very similar to this.

4. Firstly, I researched Slasher Horror films and researched what media

Dimension films is an American film production company owned by The Weinstein

It was formerly used as Bob Weinstein's label within, Miramax Films, to produce and

The studio's movie franchises include the later Halloween films, Scream, Spy Kids and
Scary Movie.
As of 1992, the company usually releases horror films, comedy films and action
films, although Spy Kids are the only family series that Dimension released.
This would be a good distributer as they usually release horror films, this would mean
there would be more chance in them distributing my product.

Universal have distributed various successful horror films and are a very well known
company.
Universal pictures would be a good distributer because they are a very well known
company our product would be advertised well.
