Overview
   In any product-based company, product program decisions are critical to the future success of the
   enterprise. A weak product project must be avoided at all costs, especially if it is consuming a majority
   of the company’s resources for a considerable amount of time. The industry research clearly indicates
   that getting the product right requires adequate investment and effort at the front end for market and
   business analysis. Since market share and early-to-market are directly linked, a product company in
   competitive markets must find innovative ways to make efficient and timely decisions within acceptable
   risk levels.


Key Outcomes
   The key outcomes of the Product Planning and Screening program are to provide senior managers with
   the methodology and tools to make the right product decisions in a timely manner within acceptable risk
   levels.

   The Product Planning and Screening program validates product concepts for commercialization as
   shown below in Figure 1. Denis’ unique methodology, templates, and tools used to perform the product
   planning and screening process provide practical qualitative and quantitative results for making the right
   decisions in a timely manner.

A well-executed financial business case, as shown in Figure 2, provides more value than simply
   discounted cash flow metrics. A strong financial business case process provides many insights and
   focuses on how a product is going to reach its financial objectives. The integrated business case model
   provided by Denis Gallant offers the capability to simulate full sensitivity analysis on any case input
   parameter. The model also incorporates quality tracking of all assumptions and data in order to better
   judge the risk level of the financial results.

   The business model is the logic, or manner by which, the enterprise generates revenues and profits from
   a product or service business. In competitive markets with global outsourcing and complex customer
   ecosystems, it becomes critical to get the business model right from the start. Denis Gallant’s business

A weak product project must be avoided at all costs, especially if it is consuming a majority of the company’s resources for a considerable amount of time. The industry research clearly indicates that getting the product right requires adequate investment and effort at the front end for market and business analysis.
