This document outlines a process/task engagement-performance matrix that categorizes employees into 9 archetypes based on their job perception, behavior, and engagement. These archetypes range from constructive to neutral to destructive and include inspired workers, workhorses, martyrs, drifters, saboteurs, and cynics. The document also presents this information as a three-dimensional matrix that maps job complexity/engagement against job perception/performance and behavior. It aims to provide a six-sided framework for employee performance management.
