Questionnaire & The Results
 My questionnaire consisted of 10 questions,
and the answers were shortlisted in some
questions, while some questions required the
  audience’s own written answers.
Favourite Colour

                                                      Red
                                                      Orange
                                                      Yellow
                                                      Green
                                                      Blue
The results show me that Purple
purple is the favoured colour Pink
among those listed. I wrote this
question knowing I wanted to
use a neon version of the
chosen colour, so I will make a
neon purple masthead, using
pink to make it brighter if I
must.
Word to Describe Pop/Dance Music
                                                                sexual
                                                                banging
                                                                alright
                                                                popular
                                                                loud
                                                                fun
                                                                skanking
The results include some unsure
obvious joke answers, but I
                                                                repetitive
included them to show some
                                                                indifferent
of the adversity faced when
choosing this genre. The only modern
word which was repeated was obnoxious
‘fun’, so I will take this and try
and incorporate the idea of
fun into the magazine and
how it’s designed.
How often do you listen to pop &
                                        dance music?

                                                           Never
                                                           Every so often
                                                           Only at parties

The results show me that I Quite often
should aim at the more casual All the time
listeners of pop/dance
music, and that if I can I should
try to convert non-listeners
through my magazine, as it’s a
big chunk of the potential
audience.
Favourite pop/dance musician

                                                  lady gaga
                                                  beyonce
                                                  calvin harris
                                                  rihanna
                                                  olly murs
The results show me that
                                                  chiddy bang
artists like Lady Gaga
and Calvin Harris are the david guetta
most popular in my justin timberlake
target audience, so I n/a
should aim towards the
listeners of more
electronic musicians
such as those two.
Would you buy?

                                                   Yes

                                                   No

The results show me that I Id have to see
would have to convince the the magazine
majority of the audience into
purchasing, meaning that I
have to make my front cover as
attention grabbing and unique
as possible, without alienating
too many people.
Aimed age group?

                                                     15-18
                                                     16-21
                                                     16-30
The results show me that I 18-30
should aim for the 16-21 age
group, which means producing
a magazine that helps that age
group to know it’s specifically
for them. Therefore I will make
sure the content is as relevant
as possible and every article
interests that age group.
Singer/band or DJ?

                                                         Singer/band
                                                         DJ
The results show me that I
should use a singer or a band to
be on the front cover rather
than a dj. This means that I
should focus more on the pop
side than dance, which helps
me to pick the right articles and
design to suit the audience's
needs.

                                                 No

The results show me that I Id have to see
would have to convince the the magazine
majority of the potential
audience to focus on my
magazine, which goes with the
previous results in saying that I
have to make the content as
relevant as possible.
How much to cost?

                                                  £2 or less
                                                  £2 - £3
                                                  £3 - £4
The results show me that I £4 or more
should make the magazine
between £2 and £3. This
means that I should aim the
magazine at that group of
people, rather than making
it too posh or too simple.
Double Page Spread

                                                         Lots of pics
                                                         Lots of Words
The results show me that I Equal
should make the amount of
pictures and words equal, if not
leaning slightly towards more
pictures. This means that I have
to put a lot of effort into my
photography and make sure to
connect it to the article, so the
audience understands that
design choice.
