This document summarizes research on the impact of health education on the water treatment, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) behaviors of pastoralists in Tanzania. The researcher conducted a study with 196 pastoralist households from 21 villages who received health education in 2014. Preliminary results show that health education significantly increased water treatment in both rainy season and year-round, water treatment frequency, handwashing after working with animals, and handwashing frequency at various times. The research aims to contribute new evidence on the impacts of short-term health education on pastoralists' preventive health behaviors and help inform future WASH interventions. Next steps include publishing results and examining disease occurrence reports related to water-borne pathogens and health
The annual inflation rate for May 2014 was 1.6% according to the Consumer Price Index. The average inflation rate from January to May was also 1.6%. While the overall CPI was virtually unchanged from the previous month, prices increased the most for transportation services, food products, housing and utilities, and accommodation services. Inflation rates varied across municipalities and regions but were highest in the United States at 2.1% and Mexico at 3.5% according to national statistics offices.

The document summarizes an eco-health research program in Vietnam that aims to address human health impacts related to agricultural intensification. It involved local community participation to identify concerns regarding livestock waste management and increasing rates of diseases. Survey results found increasing cancer rates and common health complaints. The research aims to assess public health effects of biogas use and design waste water sampling to help address issues through a participatory process.
The document describes the APHIF Duval collaborative model for building local public health informatics capacity through an academic health department partnership. The model leverages the partnership between the Florida Department of Health in Duval County, the Institute for Public Health Informatics and Research, and the University of Florida's Center for Health Equity, Quality and Research. Through this partnership and various cross-cutting projects, the model aims to assess and develop the informatics infrastructure of the local health department, conduct data analyses on population health trends, and provide leadership and workforce development opportunities in clinical and public health informatics.

The document summarizes Kenya's efforts to institutionalize a One Health (OH) approach through the establishment of the Zoonotic Disease Unit (ZDU) in 2012. The ZDU is a structural office located between the ministries of human and animal health. It has 2 epidemiologists and support from other experts as needed. The ZDU aims to strengthen surveillance and control of zoonotic diseases, establish OH structures and partnerships, and conduct applied research. Some successes include joint surveillance and responses to zoonotic disease outbreaks. Challenges include limited resources, coordination between sectors, and operationalizing OH at local levels. Lessons learned include identifying region-specific OH drivers and taking a sustainable systems approach to implementation.

- The reviewer questions the authors' conclusion that poor health seeking behavior is responsible for many TB deaths, noting there could be other reasons like limited access to healthcare or a lack of understanding of TB's severity.
- Additional context is provided on TB treatment and cure rates in Bukidnon, and challenges in controlling TB with limited health resources.
- A large increase in reported dengue cases in Bukidnon from 2009 to 2010 is questioned. Additional information suggests this follows the typical disease cycle in the region and is influenced by local geography and breeding grounds that coincide with the rainy season.

This document summarizes PATH's progress on their Enhanced Diarrheal Disease and Pneumonia Project in Cambodia. It discusses how the project worked with the Cambodian Ministry of Health to improve policies around diarrhea and pneumonia treatment and prevention. This included re-establishing a technical working group, updating treatment guidelines, and developing multi-year plans. The project also demonstrated a model for prevention and pre-referral treatment at the community level in one district. Looking forward, PATH plans to expand this model to another province in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other partners.
Public health is dependent on animal health in rural areas because poor animal health directly affects the human food supply. Veterinary public health entails the diagnosis, surveillance, epidemiology, control, prevention and elimination of Zoonoses. Unsatisfactory implementation of stringent disease control, meat inspectorate and drug dispensation legislations prevents the efficient production of food of animal origin; creating obstacles to international trade in animals and animal products and hence an impediment to overall socioeconomic development

The Food Safety Working Group (FSWG) in Vietnam was created in 2015 at the request of the Deputy Prime Minister to address food safety issues in the country. It brings together government agencies, ministries, and development partners to facilitate joint policy dialogue and improve food safety. Over eight years of operations led by different organizations, the FSWG has contributed to various initiatives. However, it faces challenges of diminished government participation over time and dependence on active members. Going forward, it will strengthen its operations by integrating under Vietnam's One Health Partnership framework to better engage stakeholders and achieve policy impacts.

What is an RPA CoE? Session 1 – CoE VisionDianaGray10
In the first session, we will review the organization's vision and how this has an impact on the COE Structure.
Topics covered:
• The role of a steering committee
• How do the organization’s priorities determine CoE Structure?
Speaker:
Chris Bolin, Senior Intelligent Automation Architect Anika Systems
How information systems are built or acquired puts information, which is what they should be about, in a secondary place. Our language adapted accordingly, and we no longer talk about information systems but applications. Applications evolved in a way to break data into diverse fragments, tightly coupled with applications and expensive to integrate. The result is technical debt, which is re-paid by taking even bigger "loans", resulting in an ever-increasing technical debt. Software engineering and procurement practices work in sync with market forces to maintain this trend. This talk demonstrates how natural this situation is. The question is: can something be done to reverse the trend?

As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

ScyllaDB is making a major architecture shift. We’re moving from vNode replication to tablets – fragments of tables that are distributed independently, enabling dynamic data distribution and extreme elasticity. In this keynote, ScyllaDB co-founder and CTO Avi Kivity explains the reason for this shift, provides a look at the implementation and roadmap, and shares how this shift benefits ScyllaDB users.
