LOCATION: centre of Milan
SUBJECT: architecture
GENRE: urban game, adventure
PLATFORM: Mobile Learning Academy
TARGET: students of the last years of high school and
young people who want to have fun together
MISSION: teach people about architecture
in a different and funny way
3. 2 PLOT
O mia bela Madunina
A dreadful thief stole the “Madonnina”
of the cathedral of Milan spreading panic
because without it the city will fall into ruin.
The only ones who can solve the situation
thanks to their knowledge
are 4 famous Milanese architects.
Collecting clues along 4 different paths,
will they be able to save the city in the end?
You can only find it out by playing!
4. 3 INSTRUCTION
• Follow your path on the map
• Answer questions in a short time
• Leave a mark with your sticker
• Take a photo of your sticker
and of the building
Gain skills, points and clues,
but be careful of the other architects...
This is a challenge!
5. 5 CHARACTERS
The 4 characters we chose to be our heroes
are famous architects who studied
at Politecnico di Milano.
Each one of them has a particular skill
which can be increased during the game.
We made 4 caricatures to transform
these people in our players.

6. 5 CHARACTERS
Cino Zucchi: graduated in Architecture
at the Politecnico di Milano in 1979,
where since 1980 he has been teaching
and researching.
Skill: urban planning
Aldo Rossi: graduated in Architecture
at the Politecnico di Milano in 1959.
In 1965 he was appointed professor
at the Politecnico.
He is one of the greatest ideological reformers
in the field of architecture.
Skill: design and drawing
7. 5 CHARACTERS
Giò Ponti: graduated in Architecture
at the Politecnico di Milano in 1921.
Its goal is to integrate art and architecture.

Skill: landscaping
Renzo Piano: graduated in Architecture
at the Politecnico di Milano in 1964, with a score
of 100/100.
In 1981 he received the Compasso d’Oro award.

11. 6 QUESTIONS
We decided to ask different kind of questions,
simple and hard.
Most of them can be found surfing the net,
so that users won’t be annoyed
by impossible questions.
Some answers can be found only by watching
the architecture or doing something specified
in the question.
We have also included some hints to help
in case of difficulty.
For every stop users have to take a photo
of the building.
The time for each question is short, 2-3 minutes
maximum.

USERS CAN:
• download the MLA app
from the official website.
• create a new account and log in.
• invite friends to play O mia bela Madunina.
• play with friends or alone
following one of the 4 paths.
• gain skills and scores to win the challenge.
Users can also share questions or photos with
friends through facebook or twitter.

To promote our game we decided to create
a facebook fan page where
we can communicate news, ask users’ opinions
and create events.
We shot also a short video through
which intrigue people.
During the challenge users will have also
a little sachet with inside some stickers
which they need to play their role.

We created a facebook page where users will
read about events or news.
In the page we’ve posted our teaser to promote
the game and also some photos of the
“backstage”.
Users can share photos, videos or post their
opinions about O mia bela Madunina.
The QR code is linked with the Fb page.

20. 10 STICKERS & SACHETS
We create 4 different stickers
each one representing one character;
during the challenge users have to leave
their mark with a sticker so the others
will know that someone was there.
Sachets are stickers’ cases: in their front
there’s an image of the character
and on the back are printed instructions
of the game. In this way the users
will know in every moment what to do
before leaving a stage.

We shoot a short video to promot our game.
The teaser has been filmed in piazza Duomo
where the game will take place.
We decided to stage a modern-western duel
in which 2 players are facing
with their smartphones.
At the end of the teaser we put our logo
and a short slogan to intrigue people.
