This document summarizes a presentation about beliefs and emotions in foreign language learning. The presentation discussed how beliefs guide human behavior and how changes in emotions can alter actions. It aimed to better understand the interaction between beliefs, emotions, and actions in language learning. The presenter discussed theoretical backgrounds of emotion in second language acquisition and how core beliefs relate to emotions. The presentation also described a study involving three students learning English, finding that beliefs and past experiences influenced emotions, which in turn impacted language use. Reflection activities were recommended to help students develop awareness of the relationship between their beliefs, emotions, and language learning.
