1. CHRIST’S PERSONAL VICTORY OVER
SATAN

with the wild animals, and angels
attended him.

Jesus was tempted in three realms:
- Spirit
- Soul
- Body

sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the

b) Lust of the eyes (Soul)
c) Pride of life – boasting (Spirit)

A. All three tempted in bodily realm.
i. Eve was tempted in the realm of the
body: Satan made her see that.

tree was good for food and pleasing to
the eye, and also desirable for gaining
wisdom, she took some and ate it. She
also gave some to her husband, who
was with her, and he ate it.

ii. Jesus was tempted in the realm of His
body.

are the Son of God, tell these stones to
become bread.”

their bodies.

When Jesus died and rose again, He
defeated Satan in five realms.
a)Christ conquered Satan as the author of
sin.

He who does what is sinful is of the devil,
because the devil has been sinning from the
beginning. The reason the Son of God
appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

a)Christ conquered Satan as the author of

HIS DEMONS FROM HEAVEN.
