2. ZULFIQAR ALI BHUTTO
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was born on January
5, 1928.Bhutto completed his early
education from Bombay's Cathedral
High School. In 1947,he joined the
University of Southern Californiaand
later the University of California at
Berkeley in June 1949. After completing
his degree with honors in Political
Science at Berkeley in June 1950, he
was admitted to Oxford.
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto married Nusrat
Isphahani on September 8, 1951. He
was called to Bar at Lincoln's Inn in
1953, and the same year his first child,
Benazir Bhutto, was born on June 21.
On his return to Pakistan, Bhutto
started practicing Law.
3. In 1958, he joined President Iskander Mirza's Cabinet as Commerce Minister.
He was the youngest Minister in Ayub Khans Cabinet. In 1963, he took over
the post of Foreign Minister from Muhammad Ali Bogra
In January 1963, when Mohammad Ali Bogra died of a heart attack,
Bhutto took charge as minister for external affairs during Gen Ayub khan
Era.
Later on Bhutto resigned from Ayubs Cabinet as Gen Ayub khan signed
peace treaty with India after 1965 war in Tashkent.
4. in December 1967 he founded the Pakistan People’s Party. Bhutto
denounced the Ayub Khan regime as a dictatorship and was subsequently
imprisoned (1968–69).Reason
And then he went dramatic. “The wheel of time will turn,” he declaimed,
“and in the revolution of that turn a better tomorrow will dawn.”
In 1971 Bhuttos peoples party won the elections with Majority

7. Zia-ul-Haq imposed martial law in Pakistan on July 5, 1977. Prime Minister
Z.A Bhutto and all his cabinet ministers were arrested and assemblies
dissolved.
All the cabinet ministers Along with Prime Minester were arrested.
Later on Bhutto was released on July 29,1977.
The validity of martial law was challenged in the Supreme Court which
validated it on November 10, 1977, under the doctrine of necessity.
8. Bhutto was again arrested on September 3, 1977, on
the charge of authorizing A Murder.

9. The Judicial process started
in Lahore high court.
Under Justice KMA Samdhani
However, when Justice K.M.A. Samdani of the Lahore High Court found
the evidence “contradictory and incomplete”.
The court here found Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto not guilty in murder of Ahmad
Raza Kasuri.
The court is Adjourned
11. Genral Zia removed Justice Samdani from his post.
APPOINTED Molvi Mushtaq Hussain as new chief Justice of Lahore High
Court.
Three days later on the night of September 16, 1977, army commandos
“climbed the walls of “Al-Murtaza” in Larkana, knocked out all the guards
and arrested Bhutto.
At the same time chief justice of Supreme court got retired Shiekh Anwar
ul Haq becme the new CJ of SC.
Trials once again began under new chief justice of lahore high court .(

12. Turning point of the case
FORMER DG Federal Security Forces Masood Mian became the witnessed
by giving evidences to the court.
The former PM for taking his own revenge from political enemy
Ahmad kasuri ordered me and 3 others to assisinate Ahmad raza kasuri.
Thus the court on 18 March with the help of evidences ordered BHUTTOS
sentence to death.
13. Conclusion
1 Gen Zia dismissed chief justice of lahore high court and placed
his childhood friend Moulvi Mushtaq from the same town Where Zia was
born.
2 DG FSF was soon arrested after the coup in first trials he denied of any
evidence or witness of Bhutto murdering kasuri.
Later on he was tourtured , extreamly pressurised by Gen ZIA and was said to
give false proofs against Bhutto. He confessed this later to Bhuttos family.
In May 1978, Begum Nusrat Bhutto filed an appeal before the Supreme Court.
The independent Chief Justice of Pakistan Yaqub Ali Khan was forced to retire
by the 22nd July but only three days before his forced retirement, he
admitted Begum Nusrat Bhutto’s petition in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
14. New Chief justice had no legal trainings just entered judiciary through
back door.
He was also child hood friend of Zia from Jalandhar.
During the trials they both realised that out of 9 5 judges are in favour of
Bhutto so majority will decide the case so the case was adjourned till July.
So one judge could retire namely Qaiser khan and the other Waheed ud
din got ill.
Majority converted into minority,3 out of 4.
15. The three justices who voted for Bhutto’s acquittal were Justice Dorab Patel
of Balochistan, Justice Safder Shah of NWFP, and Justice Mohammed Halim
of Sindh as they could not find any direct evidence for the conspiracy to
murder.
Even the Murder case in first was directly moved to the high
court to minimize the one chance as in Judiciary
Case 1st step into lower court then high court then Supreme court
Gen Zia severeal times in media called Bhutto as Murderer before the
decission of Court.
Thus its proofed the case was illigal based on false allegation witnesses for
the sake of ZIA chair.
16. Hundred of cases were climensed in
high court just ZIA wanted to execute
bhutto and keep him out from his
way .
The review petition was dismissed on
24th March 1979 and Bhutto was
hanged on April 4, 1979, despite
hundreds of clemency appeals by
many heads of state from all over the
world along UN And ISlamic ittihad.
