Paraplegia
                                        (pair-ah-PLEE-jee-ah)

 Paralysis of the lower portion of the body and
  both legs.
 Paraplegia is primarily caused by either an
injury to the spinal cord or a congenital
condition. Spina bifida is an example of a
  congenital condition.
 Decubitus-pressure
  sores.
 Thrombosis.
 Pneumonia
 Rehabilitation-trainingthe person how to
use a wheelchair, building up as much
strength and functionality in the body as
possible. It is a top goal to teach people
with this condition how to be able to live
 independently.
 Phasia-A speech disorder of a specific kind
Aphasia: lack of speech
This condition can range from having difficulty remembering words
to lacking entirely the ability to speak, read or write.
 Acute Aphasia usually develops due to a
  head injury or stroke.
 Another cause is when lesions form in
parts of the brain that deal with language
in the frontal, temporal and parietal lobes
  of the brain.
 Aphasia can also be caused by Herpes
  Simplex virus encephalitis which effects
the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain.
 Due to different degrees in which one may
have aphasia treatment is specialized in a
case by case situation. The doctor works
 together with a speech-language
 pathologist, an occupational therapist and
social worker to help the patient with
 memorization of language and developing
 language skills.
Paraplegia is a condition caused by the spinal cord not functioning properly,
due to injury or condition, the spinal cord is one of the key components of the
                                                                nervous system.
Aphasia is a condition in which someone does not have the ability of speech
due to parts of the frontal and temporal lobes not operating correctly. The
brain is the other major component of the central nervous system.
