A Huge Thank You!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Pearson for stepping in as
our acting advisor this year and for agreeing to be our full time advisor next
year. Mrs. Pearson without you we would not have been afforded the
opportunity to do what we are doing. Your time, effort and dedication is
exemplified. Please extend our thankfulness to Mr. Pearson for supporting you
in this effort. WE, your delegates really do appreciate all that you have done
for us this year.
I would also like to thank the parents who have supported Mrs. Pearson in the
background to assist us in getting to Fall District Conference and State
Assembly. Mr. Ribas a special thank you for answering our abundance of
questions.
A Special Congratulations!
to our delegates who made it through elections at FDC
and will now be running for statewide office
at State Assembly.
Good luck to:
Ethan Young for Sullivan Senate President
Colin Pearson, Sullivan Speaker of the House
Daniel Eisele, Williams Speaker of the House
Andrew Sims, Williams Senate President
Christa Beriswell, CFO
Caleb Miranda, Governor
Being a good roommate!
As we arrive in Tallahassee in a couple of days, please remember to be a good roommate. Having a good or even great roommates at State Assembly can make all the difference in the world.
Suggestions on How to be a Good Roommate:
1) Clean up after yourself – your mom’s not here to remind you.
2) Don’t take too long in the shower – other’s need to use it also.
3) Hang up your clothes – they will look nicer for our events and no one will spill anything on them.
4) If you are up later than your roommates, try to be quiet when entering or leaving the room.
5) Offer to help carry things for your roommates if they need assistance.
6) Most importantly be supportive of your roommates, whether you are a first year or a sixth year, we all need to be supported in what we are doing. Many of us are stepping out of the box this
year and experience new areas of YIG.

binder and any “purse” items if desired. Make sure you are not
bringing anything you DO NOT NEED. Pack smart, leave anything
questionable at home.
Be supportive and respectful of individuals who are running for
office. They have put a lot of work into their campaigns.
Make sure you have an awesome time at State Assembly.
Remember today’s dreams are tomorrow future, so make the best
of it while you are there.
Please make sure you cut out the
luggage tags and attach them to your
luggage. The hotel will be busy and we
want to make sure that everyone gets
their luggage in a timely manner.

  • 2. Being a good roommate! As we arrive in Tallahassee in a couple of days, please remember to be a good roommate. Having a good or even great roommates at State Assembly can make all the difference in the world. Suggestions on How to be a Good Roommate: 1) Clean up after yourself – your mom’s not here to remind you. The use of cell phones will not be allowed, except in your room and during free time. Weather Forecast: The weather is expected to be colder than most of you are used to, with highs in the mid-60s and lows in the 40s... If you want to check the weather yourself on weather.com, you can use 32301 as a ZIP code reference. It is not unusual for it to rain during the Assembly, so an umbrella is recommended. Please make sure that you label your belongings so they don’t get mixed up with your roommates. Each Delegate may have only one carry on item when entering the Capitol Thursday, Friday, & Saturday. Bag must be large enough for binder and any “purse” items if desired. Make sure you are not bringing anything you DO NOT NEED. Pack smart, leave anything questionable at home. Be supportive and respectful of individuals who are running for office. They have put a lot of work into their campaigns. Make sure you have an awesome time at State Assembly. Remember today’s dreams are tomorrow future, so make the best of it while you are there. Please make sure you cut out the luggage tags and attach them to your luggage. The hotel will be busy and we want to make sure that everyone gets their luggage in a timely manner.
