The students' project focused on the decrease of biodiversity and its impact on the population of Egyptian vultures in their area. They were divided into groups to research the topic and two groups presented their findings. They learned about the work of a local collaborator who monitors and protects Egyptian vultures. The students also had a hands-on opportunity to observe one of the last Egyptian vulture couples in the area near their nest with the collaborator. They saw how conservationists track down poisoned baits that threaten the vultures.
