Apple sued Samsung in 2011 alleging that several Samsung Android phones and tablets infringed on Apple's patents, trademarks, user interface and style. Samsung counter-sued Apple, filing lawsuits in Korea, Japan, and Germany alleging that Apple infringed on Samsung's mobile communication technologies patents. The court awarded small damages to both companies and ordered a temporary sales halt of the infringing products in South Korea, denying Apple's claims that Samsung copied the iPhone and iPad designs.
