2. We chose to deconstruct ‘The Dark Knight’
because of its many interesting sounds. We are
deconstructing the opening 5 minutes of the film
which is the Bank Robbery Scene. We decided to
use this because it has a lot of action and sound
effects.

Diegetic sound is recorded in a location but often is enhanced by sound effects to

Ambient Sound is used to hide a noise that you don’t want on your sound.
Dialogue is an important part of diegetic sound, agood actor can vary tone and
volume according to what the director wants on set, its often enhanced in post
production.
Non-Diegetic Sound
Raw footage is usually enhanced through the addition of non-diegetic
sound, usually in the form of music, SFX or a voice over e.g. a gun shot. The most
realistic sound effects may originate from original sources, often recordings of real
life do not sound realistic on playback. That is why there are Foley artists e.g rain
may be recorded as salt falling on a piece of tinfoil.

6. Sound includes dialogue, music and SFX these are very important as they
help to create a mood, suspense and help to drag the audience in. an
example would be the gunshots in ‘The dark knight’ they make the
audience think ‘did someone die?’
