Inclusion begins with a core belief that everyone deserves dignity and respect. By ensuring that
inclusion is at the core of what we do every day, UPMC will not only be a great company and
community citizen, but also a great place to work.

UPMC Center for Inclusion
•Created in 2008, serves as a resource center to promote inclusion at
UPMC and in the communities we serve.
•Launched the Dignity & Respect Initiative to drive organizational and
behavioral change at UPMC, and the Cultural Competency Initiative to
ensure quality, culturally competent care for patient and Health Plan
members and their family members.
•Partners with UPMC Board Inclusion and Diversity Committee, UPMC
Leadership, and Partnership Councils on the 4C Inclusion Strategy to
integrate inclusion into day-to-day business practices at UPMC.               UPMC is a $9 billion
•Promotes Community Social Responsibility focused on dignity and              global health enterprise
                                                                              with more than 54,000
respect, healthy communities, and workforce development initiatives in        employees headquartered
community organizations, schools, and faith-based organizations.              in Pittsburgh, PA.
