Distributed charging system is a system that divide the battery pack and charging them separately. Many different types of electric vehicle (EV) charging technologies are described in literature and implemented in practical applications. This paper presents an overview of the existing and proposed EV charging technologies in terms of converter topologies, power levels, power few directions and charging control strategies. An overview of the main charging methods is presented as well, particularly the goal is to highlight an effective and fast charging technique for lithium ions batteries.

3. INTRODUCTION
Till the end of 19th century we all use internal combustion engine. That time
the the engine is introduce as more powerful and efficiency engine for any
vehicle.
But since 20th century we realize that it polluted our atmosphere by using
natural resources like fuel and coal etc.
So a technology was introduced named as EV (Electrical vehicle)
AS we know the EV’s are used electric current and covert to mechanical power
by motor.
But the most drawback of an EV’s that we have to wait more time for charged
our vehicle as compare to Other .
As technology developed we also developed our charging technology but till
we can’t achieve yet that speed.
4. WHAT IS DCS
DCS is a charging system in which the vehicle charged by disturbing
charger to the separated battery pack. The battery of EV’s are basically
lithium ion battery which are low cost ,more longevity and also more
efficiency. The batteries are packed with a compartment, we called
them battery pack. There are 5 to 6 battery pack in a vehicle. The
battery are separated because the battery can easily replace with
minimal cost. DCS will charge the battery pack separately.
5. DIFERENT CHARGING METHODS OF EV
Basically we use 3 different type of charger
• AC Level 1 Charger
• AC level 2 Charger
• Level 3 /DC charger
6. AC LEVEL 1 CHARGER
This charger has low output and it takes so
long time .It has out put of 2kw to 3 kw. This
type of charger are provide with the car
manufacturer when you by an EV. IT
designed for domestic purpose. So we
charge the EV through our 16amp socket
This charger takes over night for charged a
EV.
7. AC LEVEL 2 CHARGER
This charging technology is the upgraded version of level 1 charger
it minimize that up to 30%. It is used in 3 phase only. It has output of
20kW. As it is 3 phase charging system we can’t use in our domestic
socket. Now a days the car manufacturer install these type of Charger
in The parking And also they provide it when we buy an EV.
8. LEVEL 3/DC FAST CHARGING
DC fast charger are the latest technology till now. Its output power
up
to 50kw . It charged a vehicle Up to 80% in 1 hour. It should be
installed
in chagrining station. In the future There will be charging station
like fuel
station. The Indian car manufacturer are also use DC fast charging
connector Like Tata and Mahindra . There are 2 different charging
method
• CCS 1
• CCS combo 2
9. CCS 1 CHARGER
This type of charger are used both AC level 1 and DC + and DC_- at a time
IT is a little bit slow as compare to CCS combo 2
10. CCS COMBO 2 CHARGER
In the CCS charger we use AC Level 1 , AC Level 2 and also DC
11. CHARGING TECHNOLOGY OF DCS
DCS charged the vehicles by supply separate DC source. The DC
source will be the out put of Level 3 or DC fast charger.
The DCS technology divided in two parts
• Charger Part
• Vehicle Part
14. CHARGING TIME OF ALL CAHRGER
CHARGERS OUTPUTPOWER CHARGING TIME
AC LEVEL 1 5 TO 5 KW 12 HOUR
AC LEVE 2 20 KW 6 HOUR
DC FAST CHARGER 50 KW 1.5 HOURS
DCS 250/5 KW 21 MINUTES
15. ADVANTAGES
• DCS will charged the vehicle faster then other charging system
• If we use DCS charger we have not wait long time at charging station
• It took less time and almost 100 % efficiency
• EV have not draw-back more
• EV can use for Long distance
• It can also use as commercial Transport
16. DISADVANTGES
• It took more space
• It can’t use in Home
• It’s cost will be high as compare
to others
17. CONCLUSION
In the age of Electrical vehicle the DCS can be
used as primary charger for batter efficiency as it
has many advantages and also it has no any
major draw backs
