Green Peace Lincoln College organized and allowed the 3rd semester students for factory visit. We went to Dairy Development Corporation, Biratnagar on 5th August, 2022. This was important activity to be fulfilled by the students. This is important because book is not everything so we have to go to see the practical process of production to get the actual knowledge. Thanks to the Dairy Development Corporation, Biratnagar for letting us to visit the whole plant. Thanks to the organization head Mr. Ganesh Kumar Yadav for signing and permitting us. It was very helpful for us to gain a lot of knowledge. And we are very thankful to Mr. Harish Chandra Dhungana for guiding us across the whole corporation.

2. Green Peace Lincoln College organized and allowed the

7. DDC was formed by government in 1955.
Headquarter of DDC lies in Kathmandu, Nepal.
It produce the quality and fresh products related to dairy like milk, curd, ghee, milk
powder, ice-cream etc.
It collect over 60 million liters of milk from more than 200 thousand milk producers
through 1200 milk cooperative spread out in 45district.
The company has fully modern dairy plants; eleven cheese manufacturing units,
forty five milk chilling plants and highly qualified dairy specialists, all of which make
it precious part of economic development of the nation

farmers with a fair price & the process of supply pasteurized milk
and milk products to urban areas consumers.

9. We all are very humble to the DDC administration team who
provided a guide to us. The guide i.e. Harish Chandra Dhungana
and we got information through observing with our own eyes.

10. Our findings shows a process and management systems of the
industry that we had visited before i.e. DDC (Dairy Development
Corporation) & the management system is well managed all the
employees were well behaved with outsiders and helps us
enough to complete our mission.

Collected from different locations.
Milk is tested in lab & the impure i.e. unsuitable for
production is collected and brought to the milk powder plant.
12 Liters turns into 1kg milk powder.
 DDC produced Ice-cream, paneer, curd , ghee, milk powder
and others.

15. CONCLUSION
In conclusion, it was a fruitful journey of ours to go to
DDC. We observed overall production and operation
system of DDC which helped us to recognize in fact that
we learned from our books and teachers. We got
knowledge about the production control, purchasing
material, their inventory system and practices, process
of supply, got information about raw materials and
products, routing, scheduling, quality control, external
environment and also got an opportunity to dig their
experience.
