13. GENERAL ORGANIZATION The University is organized into two specific areas: academic and administrative / financial. The academic area is constituted by the High Council of Universities consists of nine members representing different segments of the University and chaired by the Rector. The administrative-finance is provided by the Council of Administration (CA) and has six members appointed by the association that maintains the university, the ESAE. The nexus between the two Councils is the General Secretariat.

21. EDUCATIONAL MODEL The University provides an educational model based on innovation. The main tools of the educational model of the UAA are: the organization of the academic load in a credit system, the transmission of knowledge through new technologies such as E-learning, expanding the channels through access knowledge major international databases, promotion of research and evaluation methodology for their students and the competency assessment system.

22. E-CAMPUS The UAA has developed and promotes the use of E-Learning and the use of E-Campus. The E-Campus is a virtual integration platform that allows building a broader educational area and the extent of more people.

23. QUALITY SPACE The University has three campuses: Jejuí the principal building, the Monteoliva building and the Montevideo building. The three sites are located in the downtown area of Asuncion. It also has a campus social and sporting in Lambaré city, just under 20 kms. of Asuncion.

27. PROMOTION OF RESEARCH The University encourages research constantly inside both areas teachers and students from various faculties and especially from the Research Direction. The UAA performs regularly to calls for investigation of important national and international institutions. In recent years they have conducted research projects with organizations like the Council Impeller National Integrity System (CISNI) with support from the Interamerican Development Bank, the Iberoamerican Science and Technology for Development (CYTED) and the Spanish Agency of International Development Cooperation (AECI).

28. PROJECTS: DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION The university promotes the production of new knowledge and practice of researchers and teachers through the implementation of projects especially linked with agencies and institutions of the highest international level.

International Relations and Cooperation The UAA has become a benchmark in Paraguay for foreign higher education institutions, which has allowed to sign many agreements and cooperation agreements with universities in America and Europe, besides being part of important partnerships and national and international organizations. The UAA participate on the CRISCOS Program, that provides to the students the posibility of make an exchange to universities in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Perú. The UAA participate on the Erasmus Progam EMUNDUS 17, that give the opportunity to make an exchange to Europe for undergrate students, graduate students and teachers.

International Graduate The Graduate Division is responsible for overseeing the 37 graduate programs of the University, organized in short-term programs such as upgrades, graduates and specializations, and long-term programs and deepening such as masters and doctorates. Masters and doctorates from the UAA are presented in extended form, developed over the year, and also in intensive mode during the months of January and July, allowing the training of persons working or international students.
